Can't find an article about it yet, but here's part of the email that was sent to Drexel students and faculty. Really unfortunate but not very surprising with the way things have been going there for the last few years.

Picked this up the other day in hopes that it would scratch the new guitar itch. No matter what guitar I buy I always just end up back at playing my mim jaguar.

Plays great, could do with a setup, comes with a hard case.

Excuse the mess in the photo, I’m packing my office.

Selling Stuff Bruno Mars Sept 2nd Ticket

I know it's last minute but my friend cancelled on me to attend tonight's show. A bit bummed but hoping to sell her ticket discounted or at least to fund my way to the concert (recently moved). Or if anyone knows if it's possible to exchange tickets day of, please let me know as well!

It's in section 205, upper level. Asking for $100. Will accept most forms of payment and can transfer the ticket to you within minutes.

Thank you in advance!

ISO yard help

We have a backyard concrete slab that has weeds and trees growing out of our fence line. I don’t have the tools to tackle it myself, and I’m disabled so it would be difficult even if I had the tools.
Does anyone know of any low cost services that would help me out? I can provide pictures upon request!
Located in point breeze

Selling Stuff Woven/fabric lights for sale

Selling these 3 fixtures. All are under 1 year old. Nothing wrong with them, I moved into a new house and these aren't my aesthetic.

Woven double tier with gold 6 light fixture $150 width 24"

Woven single tier with 1 fixture $150 width 23"

Fabric Jordan pendant light $300 width 29 1/2"

I'll take $500 if you buy all 3

These are much nicer quality than the same style I've seen at IKEA in the same price range. The fabric Jordan pendant is an "exclusive design".

Again these aren't torn, or stained or damaged. We don't smoke and neither did the former owner who bought them and had them installed. No bugs in this house. (I got asked that a lot on my last post)

Thanks!

South Philly Cinderella

I was riding my bike to dinner in South Philly and saw a beautiful woman covered in pigeons. There were at least 20 on / near her.

I stopped and asked her about the pigeon feeding and fell in love with her grace and pigeon geekiness. We talked for 5 or 10 minutes.

Then I rode away.

For my South Philly / Passyunk folks, I’m assuming she’s Philly famous.

If anyone knows her, do me a gigantic favor and say.

Remember that annoying guy on a green bike. Yeah he liked you.

Or if - miraculously you’re reading this Cinderella- and you’re currently open to new connections- hit me up.

I’ll tell you about the time I fed squirrels. Or cats.

Video / Editing / Photo Jobs?

Post image
5 Upvotes

Hello, I am a burgeoning media professional looking for a next career step. I have been reinventing myself as a media professional for about 5 years and it's going pretty well more so with connections on Long Beach Island. All told, I am encouraged by the career progress vs banging my head against the wall looking for a marketing analyst role with my SJU MBA.

Strengths - video editing both long form and for social, storytelling (developing a coherent throughline in a piece of media), surfing content, automotive content, media library organization, podcast production, maintaining gear, team scheduling and management.

I am looking for good connections in Philadelphia so I can do this full time! My profile should have some good surfing and car vids to peruse, Thanks for your attention!

News Philadelphia schools begin transition process ahead of closures

"the school system prepares to implement a 10-year, $3 billion initiative to shutter 17 schools and reinvest in upgrades at other facilities, district leaders say.

Some of that work will happen through School Transition Committees, which are being set up at schools that will be closing or beginning a phase-out at the end of the year, as well as those receiving new students next year. Such groups are being established at 50 schools over the coming weeks.

Administrators say they are hoping to find a mix of teachers, staff, parents, students and community members for each committee. Applications opened Monday.

...

Online applications are available at philasd.org/fpp[*], and members of the public can also submit general input on the transition process through that website."

* The application form is at https://www.philasd.org/fpp/#sto-forms .

The application process opens August 31 and closes on September 18, 2026.
Use this application if you want to serve on a School Transition Committee for one of the 50 schools listed below.
