3rd and Arch
Ladies — my female friend was followed for about 15 minutes by the man pictured. It wasn’t until she recorded him and went into a local business for an extended time that he gave up.

Oh shit, this guy followed me the other day!
He was sitting in front of that cigar shop next to old city coffee and when I walked past him he got up and started following me. When I noticed I went into a gift shop and spent a really long time staring at socks. What the hell.

it's gotten massively out of hand. the other day a man repeatedly asked to suck on my tits (i was wearing a full coverage tee shirt) and when ignoring didnt work, i told him to kill himself reflectively. he didnt even change his expression. another guy tried to grab me when i walked by, the same way you'd casually try to pet a dog, then followed me for a few blocks. i tried to read on a park bench last week and a man sat across and stared at me for 5 straight minutes until i just got up and went home. YESTERDAY a man screamed at me when I didnt acknowledge him calling me fine shit.
these were incredibly mild interactions. in the last 2 months i've been followed home late at night, and had a man try to attack me for telling him i didnt want to talk to him.
its people who dont live in the neighborhood. why come to center to spend your time harassing women in your free time? i dont get it.

It’s sooo bad most days. I almost dread going outside because I know multiple cars will stop alongside me while I’m walking, the staring, the cat calling, the gestures. Sometimes I just want to go out and look good but I know when I do I can unfortunately expect weirdos. I’m sorry you also experience this. Stay safe!!

Don't carry a baton. For whatever insane reason, in PA batons are illegal and carrying one/pulling one/using one will land you in big trouble.
It makes no sense logically... a gun is legal and far more deadly, while batons, blackjacks, clubs, and other similar implements are very illegal.
I guess the baton lobby isn't as powerful as the gun lobby.

Just want to clarify, batons are illegal in Philly specifically, but not the rest of PA. Philly has a lot of weird rules regarding "weapons" that only apply there and nowhere else in the state.
