They admin a VERY active 'Cheap Pinball Machines for sale' Facebook group posting machines for sale in Nashville TN.

The Facebook page has 16,000 members with 14,000 followers, and I've been watching their posts for probably 6 months, if not longer. My initial search didn't find anything bad on them (Unfortunately I didn't look on Pinside), and with the length of time of recurring FB posts and actual generic engagement on posts, I felt safe to put down a deposit.

They got me for a little $ as a deposit, but not much. Since I'm close, I drove to Nashville and had a great night out on Broadway with the wife, and then went to the address I was given the following day. It was an arcade warehouse called Game Terminal in Nashville (A GREAT place, btw, with excellent people and machines. I was able to play a Bon Jovi and see a Weird Al machine!). They told me they've been doing this for quite some time unfortunately.

I'm only putting this out there to get more word out about them.

I hope they leave it in future updates. That is a pretty awesome thing to do to honor the voice of Optimus Prime.

These two pins were meant to be next to each other! I could play these two all day instead of the newer releases.

Wanted to share this with the community as I'm super psyched about it. Have had this in my head for a while and finally got around to modelling and printing it. I had some help from an image-to-STL service for part of the model, then learned a lot about Blender and did some sculpting and remixing of a plain cupholder model I had. Will be painting this one in the future to match the topper fish, but with the right filament I think this could look good unpainted as well.

I've recently been playing a ton of The Walking Dead remastered, and I was curious about how many Walkers have been downed globally. Now in PinballDex, you can see a leaderboard of who downed the most Walkers, who has the most Tower Shots, high scores, and the global community total of Walkers in "The Pile".

Of course, you can still swap the game to Pokemon if you want to see the Pokedex and other Pokemon related data. (Just toggle the game in the top header)

I picked this up at a flea market yesterday for $20. I think it’s from the 20’s, but the only ones I found online were after they were patented. This one says patent pending.

Does anyone know anything about it, or what kind of nails I should look for to replace the two missing pins? My only other machine is a 1976 Captain Fantastic, so this is kinda new to me! I cleaned it up a bit because it was filthy, and now the paint is more visible than when I picked it up, which is nice. The playing field has some wear from the marbles, but other than that and the two missing nails, it seems to be in good shape.

I’ve been playing on PS5 these tables are amazing!!

Do any of you know if they actually created rails or any other components under the playfields? When a ball goes down a hole and pops up somewhere else is it actually traveling under the playfield?

Many years ago! Maybe at least ten or fifteen years ago, their used to be a pinball parlor located in Long Beach, Washington, roughly around the "World's Largest Frying Pan". It also had a bit of a shooting gallery there.

As an avid pinball enthusiast, I'm just curious what became of all of those glorious pinball machines! Which included, one of the first Attack from Mars' I ever played on, and a gorgeous Star Trek: TNG. If anyone knows the story of what became of this place, I'd love to know!

Sadly, I didn't become aware of the rareness or richness of the history of such machines until more recently, but now I'd love to know what became of them in Long Beach! At Funland a little further down the street there's only a Spider-Man left as far as I've seen.

Here is my Taxi that I just acquired and truly pushed my skillset to see if I could bring back to life.

Picked it up and obsiously in the first picture the head is not attached. Someone in the machine history Chopped the 96 wires going from Head to bottoms. But initial inspection of the rest of the machine looks promising.

I ordered a stack of pins and connectors in the minifit jr molex variety to build fresh connectors. I counted each bundle I could find to get a rough count and to get an appropriate amount of connectors. This process alone took me the 8-9 hours on a saturday when my family was out of town.

After rebuilding all 96 connections the machine came fully alive first try with a small list of issues.

After running through lamps and solenoid tests the cabinet was probably 90% working. Every issue was minor in terms of fixes. Missed a pin, another broken pin, bad connector in the head. Alarm bell wires were busted. Knocker was not attached. But overall the machine was fully functional.

Ordered Titan Silicones, Comet Leds, and a stack of parts that Identified for repair. Stripped the bulk of the playfield bare and left the incandescents and began a deep deep clean. Followed by 3x coats of wax. Comets came in first since i live an hour and half from them. Slowly filled the playfield. I went with Blue GI which I think looks quite nice. The photos look a bit washed but I feel its a nice balance. Color matched inserts. Flasher bulbs all got colors for there specific spot as I like them to stand out where there flashing vs the normal whites I put in the normal bulb spot.

Replaced 20x blue posts. New silicon mostly in yellow on top. The blue and yellow I feel looks great together. Once I have all the bulbs and parts replaced. Flippers rebuilt. Fixed the few minor issues and this thing is dialed. It plays so aggressively with titans on it. I though it was mean with rubber but titan silicone makes it far worse (in a good way). Final thing I installed was an NVRAM and pulled the battery posts.

I was thinking of earbuds connected to a microphone that I could put near the speakers? But then I'd be worried about a sudden loud noise (the extra game sound hurts my ears with no microphone). Also seems like a very bad idea where sudden loud noises could happen.

Obviously the games with a headphone jack have an obvious solution, but most of the games I enjoy and play around me don't have headphone jacks.

I was at a location the other day that was pay per play, but it feels like the goals for a free game were set a bit low on some machines. was playing attack from mars and it only took like 2.5 saucers to get a free game, and it felt like the required score wasn't doing its expected 50% increase after each free game. It felt like I would get a free game on iron maiden just by starting mummy multiball. both of these games I played like 5 times in a row off a single payment and left with a credit still on the machine, and I wasn't even playing particularly well.

luckily no one was waiting on me so I was able to just keeping playing without holding anyone up, but was wondering what the general etiquette was for these situations. If you're on a long streak of free games, but someone else is waiting on the table, how many should you actually play before letting someone else go? I know you won them and there shouldn't be any reason you'd have to not use the free credit, but at the same time should someone really get to just own a machine all day just because it's too generous or they're very good at the game?

I’ve been playing for a little over a year now and in that time have improved dramatically from my start. I’d say I’m a bit above average on a good day, usually landing in B or high C division in my local league (with quite a few IFPA top 100 players). I average around 150-250m on White Water, 100-150ish on most modern Sterns, etc.

My biggest problem that seems to be the end of my ball the most is not reading which flipper the ball is headed towards when it’s at a steep angle. More often than not, I’ll think it’s headed to one flipper, flip/slap save on it, only to find it hits the other flipper and bounces into the bottom of the flipper I’ve tried to save it with

Does anybody have tips for getting better with this? I practice one handed from time to time but I feel that’s helped my dead bounces and understanding of ball behavior more than reading angle of approach

Bought my first pinball machine when I moved into this home last year. A Jurassic park premium that lives in the basement, got hooked, turned a garage into a pinball room, and now building a shop space so we can add more.

So we just received our Labyrinth, and have played something like 300 games in the last week. For me, the experience of pinball at home completely surpasses playing on location. The big reason is the soundscape: the sound effects, the callouts, the music. Labyrinth has the added fun of the goblin topper, and having little goblins trash talk your game is just the best.

The difference between at home and location has been so profound - it makes me feel a little bit sad knowing that when I go play games in an arcade, I'm not getting 100% of the experience. And it makes me curious if some games I "like"...well, maybe being able to fully HEAR them would push me off the fence into ruling them out, or buying them!

It's been a revelation, and at this point, I definitely plan to buy more! The challenge will be finding space. 😄
