Some background. I used to own a 15 pro max and someone stole that on the metro and I had to buy another phone. I didn't have it in me to spend a lot on a phone again so I compromised with a pixel 9a. I wanted a good camera and I guess this is good enough?

It was raining really badly, and I was holding my Pixel 9a while riding as a pillion. I was trying to protect it from the rain, but obviously, the water from my hands was getting onto my phone. It wasn’t like I was holding it under a tap, but just imagine holding a Pixel 9a while you’re completely wet from the rain.

When I got home and removed the case, I noticed that there was water on the back of my phone.

While I was coming home, it rained again for a bit—not as heavily as before, but still enough to get the phone wet.

When I tried to plug in my earphones, my phone said, “Liquid or debris detected.” Then, within a second, it said it was okay to use. But then the warning came back again.

I put my phone in rice for about three hours, and now it’s working completely fine. However, I’m paranoid that something might be wrong with it that I just haven’t noticed yet.

My earphones stopped working, but the phone itself seems completely normal.

So, is my phone damaged? I’m really worried because everything seems to be working normally, but I don’t know if there could be some hidden damage.

Hello, I have a Pixel 9a phone and when I play music or watch TikTok I hear a popping sound. And what do you think, guys, is the cause of these distortions? I've never dropped the phone in water, and it's never fallen from my hand. I think the latest update is the reason.

Used the Pixel 6a for 3 years, switched to a OnePlus Nord, but honestly couldn't live with it. It felt laggy and stuttery, and surprisingly, both the screen and back cracked from a small 1–2 ft drop.

Finally exchanged it for a Pixel 10a, and damn… it feels like home. The smoothness, snappy UI, and overall Pixel experience are just something I really missed.

Sometimes you only realize how good something is after leaving it.

Convinced my friend to buy the same phone, he exchanged for Iphone 13, He is loving the pixel experience so far.

Hello everyone.I've had the Pixel 9a since mid-July and, overall, I'm really happy with the phone. However, lately I've been experiencing overheating issues, even when I'm not doing anything particularly demanding.

I don't have any games installed, and I mainly use it for WhatsApp, social media, taking photos, browsing, etc. Basically, pretty normal/light use.

I'm wondering if this could be caused by a software issue and potentially fixed with a future update.

Does anyone else experience this kind of overheating frequently with the Pixel 9a? What would you recommend checking or trying?

This is really weird. Every few months, my Pixel9a cannot launch apps. For example, Substack and NYT Cooking quite at their load screens. Microsoft Authenticator (required for work) cannot validate my one-time code. Amazon Alexa app cannot load lists.

Then suddenly one day it's all fine and stays that way until the next time.

BUT ... If I hop off wifi and go to T-Mobile data, they all work. Won't work on any of my wifi networks (2.4GHz, 5GHz, or 6GHz).

If I try to access those same sites on my wife's Pixel 6a at the same time, there's no issue. This never happens to her phone. Ever.

I've removed and reinstalled all the affected apps - no luck.

Seems it's not my wifi network, it's not the apps, it's my phone.

Anyone have any advice or thoughts?

I installed a phone with a charger at night. With adaptive charging (this is when the phone charges up to 80%, and an hour before the alarm clock is already up to 100%) I wake up, walk up, the cord is stuck to the phone, the phone itself is turned off. I took it out, the phone turned on, and the wire looked like this. Power supply and wire original

Now the USB port smells like a metallic smell.

Is Lawnchair safe? I’m thinking of installing it on my Pixel 9a because, to be honest, I hate that Google bar at the bottom and the summary.

I sometimes use streaming sites to watch films and pop-ups can sometimes appear, so I’d like to know if it’s risky to install something from an external source. I do use Brave as my browser, though, which should minimise pop-ups. But I’m not sure, any advice? Thanks so much 🫶🏻

So I've recently upgraded to a pixel 9a and now when I make a call from my watch the call comes through on the watch speaker rather than my headphones which are connected to my phone.

It worked perfectly with my old Samsung phone.

Is there any way to select the call routing ?

What's a reasonable price to sell my P9a ?... 9 months old and not a single scratch... Pampered it all the way... I personally feel like the Iphone 15 has better color science and a way better display... I was thinking about posting it for ₹35k in olx
