Somebody tell me what I did wrong.

I have 3 Pocket Operators (the Sub, the Office, and the Speak). I have them set to SYNC 1, SYNC 2, and SYNC 4, respectively.

I noticed something bizarre. None of the Sub's sounds would play, but they would actually control the Speak (and they're not even directly connected). Now, I don't mean sending its audio through to the Speak or the Speak modifying that audio with its effects. No, sir. I mean that I would press a button on the Sub and the corresponding sound for that button on the Speak would play.

Over and over again. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it because my SYNC settings are wrong?

Sometimes it does nothing at all. Sometimes it does some kind of record scratch, but that's rare. I can't figure out what it's supposed to be, or how to use it.

What are good additions to pair or use alongside the PO-33 ?

Is there any kind of synths, beat pads or machines that can complement or use alongside the PO-33?

It could be anything that helps create sounds,Loops, Samples, Beats on the PO-33 or just make your creativity better?

If anyone knows or already uses things alongside the PO-33 let me know what they are.

Has anyone happened to send off a blueprint for a 3D Print to a company that machines metal such as JLCCNC? I'd be interested to see an aluminum or brass case. I've wondered if conductivity between lines on the board and the case would be an issue, possibly branching and touching lines that weren't meant to touch. But I figure if you line the inside of a metal case with a thin coat of rubber paint then it might prevent such issues.

I was doomscrolling till I saw a video from a dude playing a beat in a Pocket Operator and I got astonished!!!

Just thought myself: oh yeah another hobby to try and see that I won't be as good as that dude in 15 minutes, so I'll get frustrated and completely forget about it lmao

I bought a mvave fm-1 and I mess with the sounds and I'm enjoying it, and I saw that I could plug in the PO, so I bought A PO-33 immediately because I'm a anxious person

That said, is there some content for beginners? I l have zero knowledge about music theory but I like making some sounds

I downloaded Koala Sampler but it's not the same as having a dedicated device, I don't wanna get overwhelmed by the phone notifications and the PO was the cheaper I found. I live in Brazil so anything I buy gets a loooot expensive.

Yesterday I posted a video about a bug I found where the PO-33 will stop sending a sync pulse if you live play sounds over an empty pattern. (Like if you want to solo on your KO over the groove the others are playing.)

This morning I found an easy workaround.

The key is that an empty pattern on the KO will lose its sync pulse if you live play on top of it, so you don’t want to send an empty pattern, you want to send a silent pattern. You can do this by writing some sounds on the grid and then parameter locking the low pass filter down to zero. (Or the high pass filter up to 11.) Turning the volume parameter down to zero doesn’t quite make it disappear, so filter instead.

The one catch is that you can open up the filter and play your sound over your silent pattern, but the programmed notes will cut it off. So build your silent pattern with a sound that you don’t want to use when you’re jamming.

I’m trying to sync my PO-30’s and the KO is losing the sync signal whenever I try playing it in performance mode. They are chained as
PO33(SY1) - PO35(SY5) - PO32(SY4).

They play together just fine when I hit Play (from right to left), but if I start playing the KO live, it breaks the sync signal and the other two only play while I’m punching notes in the KO.

This doesn’t happen when I connect them in other orders, but I want the KO first in the chain so I can record samples.

The Speak and Tonic are both just a few weeks old, I bought them during the recent sale. I bought the KO used a few months ago, so I don’t actually know how old it is.

Is there a way to fix this or do I just have a faulty PO33?

I just got the po robot and arcade and i am in love with this shit….

My lineup is Speak, Robot, Arcade. The only issue is that I love the robot so much that I instantly want the upgraded 128 mega man.
