What would be the best solution/ best method if I needed to borrow or rent 2 high definition Sony cameras for my podcast?

I’m looking for the cheapest alternatives.

Is anyone else seeing their podcasts on Apple Podcasts get posted, but transcripts for the podcast not showing up for many days later? I've seen that Apple says that it can take a day or two before transcripts are posted, but I had an episode posted last week, and 7 days later there's still no transcript.

As the title says, I'm looking at the logistics of a private podcast and what that would entail.

I am a Nurse Educator at our hospital, and we were toying with the idea of starting a short form podcast as a way to provide learning in a different format. Is there a way I could record/edit these audio sessions and then host them somewhere that only our employees could access?

The most inexpensive and simplest route would be preferable. We do not require fancy features and are not looking to monetize this in anyway.

I've got a microphone boom arm but I won't name. It's just whatever they had in the guitar center when I bought something and figured I need one of those too. My particular desktop application has me wishing it just had a little more reach to it. And I was like hang on. It's got this little extender thing on the end screwed into the threads, I could set that aside and put a long ass gooseneck on there and get like 12-15 in some more range and pinpoint placement.

Spotify suddenly suspended our podcast monetization with no specific reason. Has anyone dealt with this?

Our podcast was just suspended from Spotify for Creators monetization/payments, and we’re trying to figure out what triggered it.

The email says:
“Our automated review tools determined that your show violates the Spotify for Creators Terms and Conditions… your payments have been suspended for violating the Spotify Monetization Guidelines.”

That’s all the information they gave us. No specific episode, timestamp, violation category, or explanation.

For context:

We make an original football/soccer analysis podcast focused on Real Madrid. Episodes are primarily long-form conversations between the hosts. We don’t use match footage, TV broadcasts, copyrighted clips, or commercial music. Our intro music was AI-generated using Gemini. Our video intro sometimes contains AI-generated/stylized illustrations of football figures such as Mourinho or Ronaldo, rather than actual footage. We don’t buy streams, use bots, or use any service intended to artificially boost Spotify engagement.

The show itself is still available. Spotify specifically suspended monetization/payments.

We’re appealing and asking for a manual review, but I’m curious if anyone here has received the same generic automated-review email.

For anyone who successfully appealed one of these: what ended up being the issue, how long did Spotify take to respond, and did they ever tell you specifically what triggered the suspension?

Also curious whether anyone has seen false positives related to traffic patterns, AI-generated artwork/music, or the Spotify Partner Program’s “invalid activity” rules.
Would love to hear from people who had their monetization restored after one of these automated suspensions.

I’ve been brought on to help get a podcast up & running. I’ve never done this but I have video/live broadcasts experiences. I’ve done some research into what programs/ equipment I need to

•tripods
• using riverside to record
• rodecaster pro duo 2
• computer

Are there better programs to record the podcast to. I just enjoy the easy interface. Any help is appreciated

I currently use the Podcast Player embed code from Apple on my podcast website homepage because it defaulted to list the most recent 4 or 5 episodes in one widget, so it was a good free option for visitors to see the most recent content. But I noticed today that the widget now only lists the trailer link (which for me is about 5 years old!) and there doesn't appear to be a setting or widget to show the most recent episodes like it used to.

I don't check my website frequently, so I don't know when this change occurred with the widget code, but it's likely only a few months old.

Two questions:

1. Does anyone know a 'secret' way around this to use the old widget again?
2. If not, any suggestions for a free, not-heavily-branded player widget that shows the most recent few episodes from the rss feed?

(Note: my podcast host (RedCircle) doesn't provide one for the free tier that I'm on - this is still a hobby for me, so I'm not willing to shell out $20 per month or something, but I do want something that looks at least semi-professional.)

Most clippers dump the same loud moment over and over. This one sends 3 clips: the idea, the tension, and a line people would save — plus a blog draft. You pick whose clips. You can lock a topic.

Would you rather have 3 you’d actually post?

Trying to hone in the craft in making videos and I'm struggling to understand the best path towards improving. Instagram is our best performer, but TT and YouTube seem to be impossible for me to crack. I feel like our analytics look really good on TT. We'll get 25-35% watch the full video, and a high like ratio, like 8-10%, decent amount of comments, reposts and such, but TT kills 95% of my videos before 1,000 views. A good post on TT is like 700. YouTube, I have no idea what's going on there. Most videos hit 1.1k or 1.2k views and then abruptly stop. Analytics look good there too. Does anyone know what sort of numbers need to be hit on these platforms? I am just not understanding why Instagram loves us, but YT and TT don't. Instagram we had a 2 minute video go for 300k views 20k likes, and just in general get way more views and engagement there. We're posting the exact same videos and captions to the three sites. Anyone have good advice or factual knowledge on this subject?

tarting a podcast with a co-host, both of us have full-time jobs outside this, so neither of us can be the one doing all the prep every week. We're interviewing a pretty wide range of people, not a fixed topic each time, so there's no template to fall back on. For those of you who co-host — how do you actually divide it up? Does one person usually lead research and the other leads questions, do you trade off episode by episode, or does it just sort itself out once you've done enough of them? Also curious how you keep one person from accidentally taking over the mic when the guest naturally gravitates toward one host over the other. Welcome suggestions -

Me and my friend have been podcasting for just over a year and want to upgrade our set up. Currently we have 2 rode wireless me and Final Cut on an iPad recording audio and video. We found a package deal on Amazon for 4 Zoom ZDM-1 mics boom arms headphones and a Zoom podtrak P4next. Is this a good upgrade? Or has anyone used these mics or recorder?

I was about to record a podcast on Riverside and ended up wasting an hour before we even started recording trying to get the audio working. Then, after all that troubleshooting, the next 45 minutes of the actual session were ruined too.

My audio sounded completely fine to me. I would have had no idea anything was wrong if my guests hadn't told me that I sounded robotic, distorted, and underwater.

I tried everything I could think of: Three different laptops Multiple audio setups/devices Restarting the Riverside session More troubleshooting than I should have had to do before a recording Nothing fixed it.

Eventually I joined from an iPhone on the exact same Wi-Fi, and suddenly my audio sounded fine. So I'm having a hard time accepting that this was simply a Wi-Fi problem.

Then we had another bizarre issue with a guest. Their audio started soaring into the red, and after they changed location/device, their audio sounded much better. The person speaking couldn't necessarily hear how bad they sounded to everyone else. I thought I was fine. My guests were hearing garbage.

That's a terrible failure for a podcast recording platform. If I hadn't had guests who noticed the problem, I could have recorded the entire interview and discovered afterward that it was unusable.

I lost roughly an hour before recording and another 45 minutes during the session. That's nearly two hours of everyone's time gone, not to mention the frustration of trying to troubleshoot a problem that wasn't even apparent on my end.

Same Wi-Fi as all of the other computers, then I used the iPhone = clean audio. Three laptops + multiple setups = terrible audio.

I'd genuinely like to know what happened here, because if there's a known issue or a setting I missed, I'd like to understand it. But right now, my confidence in Riverside has taken a pretty serious hit.

I’m getting tired of having to route virtually and have to reassign every time a specific app will update, and sometimes when Windows updates.

Setup currently is as such:

-DAC for general audio out, A1
-Presonus revelator io24 for mic in
-Rode Ai-1 for instruments, guitar, keyboard, kalimba (yes)

I keep games, browser/ applications and music on separate channels

Outputs
—b1 being raw mic audio
—b2 mixed with eq for discord and chats
—b3 for music/ mic mix for when people want it

So, we started around 3 months ago and two things I started noticing:

Getting the mixing right whilst 3 people have different kind of qualities in their recording setups is a chore.

Recording for an hour is no problem topic wise. But the constant shifting between having set topics or segments and more free speaking is hard to nail in my opinion.

What are your tips and tricks to handle these? Am I overthinking and we are actually doing alright?

In know there’s a slew of mystery podcasts out there, and so many mysteries have been rehashed…I’m looking for 5-10 truly obscure, perplexing mysteries.

additionally, I have all of the equipment to get started, but I have no video editing skills or anything of the like…so, I was thinking about doing voiceovers on a PowerPoint slide to get started…any other formats that maybe work better for an AV noob?

Okaaaay, I’ve been wanting to start a podcast for so, so long, but the one thing stopping me has always been not wanting to do it alone.

I’m 21, a massive public-speaking enthusiast, and have hosted/anchored quite a few events throughout my academic life and outside of it. Talking is genuinely one of my biggest passions — I’m the kind of person who can talk to pretty much anyone about pretty much anything. (I also speak to my plants, if that tells you anything.)

My interests are all over the place: sports, motorsports, geopolitics, psychology, books, history, fashion, lifestyle, dance, music, creativity, art & culture, people, random life observations… you name it. I won’t claim to be an expert in everything, but I love learning, discussing, debating, hearing different perspectives and going down completely unexpected conversational rabbit holes.

So I’m looking for someone who’s also been wanting to start a podcast, or already has one and is looking for a co-host.

You don’t need to have everything figured out. Just be curious, comfortable talking, open-minded and genuinely excited to create something.

Maybe this goes nowhere, maybe we end up starting something really cool. Either way, worth trying. :)

What's the best interface? Will a 4th Gen Scarlett 2i2 work or does it need something beefier? (The 4th Gen doesn't need a lifter like 3rd Gen does, but I can't find anything about using TWO mics with it).

Which platform is best for a beginner—YouTube, Spotify, Instagram, etc.? What basic tools/apps should I use for recording, editing, and posting? And how can I grow it on social media and eventually monetize it?

Good morning I am so glad I found this group! I am going to be starting up an interview series documenting my career journey as an 18-year-old who is not going the normal traditional route. I would love some input on a laptop that’s going to be powerful to help me do my editing/record recording, etc. Here is the equipment that I have bought so far and would love input on which laptop would be best.

Camera-Sony ZV-E10 II (2 of them)
Rodecaster Duo Mixer
Shure MV7X microphones (2 of them)

I also have lighting, tripods, arms, and acoustic panels
