Highest court in the land - This is against the law, but because we are utterly corrupt, we are not going to do a damned thing to stop it.

This is the same way my neighbor illegally built an addition. Court said no, but was already 1/2 done didn't quit and was then finished, Court then said well the local inspectors never stopped it so pay this fine of $500 and keep your addition. Yeah I learned that if you want to build something or remove something just do it.

That's not even what they said here. They simply don't think the National Trust for Historic Preservation has standing to sue. Which might be true or might be nonsense, but by the time anyone finds a plaintiff with standing it'll probably be 90% complete and too late, just like you're saying.

That plaintiff might need to be Congress, and they're not gonna do anything until the Republican majorities get gone.

Doesn't the bunker need to completed first? The bunker looks very incomplete.

There could be time for a Democratic Congressman to sue after the midterms if/when the House flips.
