this cannot happen!

u/OddlyFactual1512 6h ago

It can, and if people decide that can't vote for the "nasty woman"  (or whatever inflammatory remark applies) in 2028, he could win.

u/THEREALMETALSTAUP 5h ago

Number 1 , Nasty woman is sexist , number 2 , Donald Trump is , Sexist , Racist , Homophobic , Transphobic , a Liar , A thief , and a Psychopath. Number 3 Republicans have three unnecessary jobs , hate on , Race , Women , LGBTQIA+ , and people with Disabilities , Have ISIS kill someone and pretend it's an accident , and do nothing when America is in Trouble. Number 4 it is Unconstitutional to be President 3 Times and Trump is super dumb in thinking all the countries outside America are on his side , This is the same type of Attitude George Bush had when he went to Iraq in 2001 when George left America and wasn't there to stop Terrorists from killing 2,996 people. and Lastly Number 5 there is no way in the history of America and All democrats minus Republicans (Besides Abraham Lincoln) is Going to happen , If it does then I will hate Republicans even more than I do now.

President Pete, lol.

u/Ok_Zombie_2026 6h ago

He's doing a great job destroying the military! Well done.

u/eskimospy212 6h ago

I very much encourage this moron to run for president.

u/OddlyFactual1512 6h ago

That is exactly what was said about Trump in 2016 and 2024.

u/eskimospy212 6h ago

Is the idea that we can never point out bad candidates again because sometimes bad candidates win? I am extremely confident that any other Republican nominee would have outperformed Trump in 2016 and most likely 2024.

Trump is evidence that any major party candidate has at least a puncher's chance of winning, especially if they are a Republican and don't need to win the popular vote, not that nominating bad candidates is a good idea.

u/Rowing_Lawyer 6h ago

I think the problem is that pointing out what a bad candidate they are does nothing to stop the republicans from supporting them. I don’t think another candidate would have gotten more votes because it’s always going to be all the republicans voting for their guy.

Democrats need to focus on energizing their actual base instead of trying to persuade republicans to vote for them by pointing out how bad their candidate is and adopting center right policies.

u/eskimospy212 6h ago

That’s great that it does nothing to stop republicans from supporting them! Awesome news!!!!

Also the idea that motivating your base is the only thing that matters the theory that Trump used in 2020. How did that work out?

u/LolaSupreme19 6h ago

You will never hear the phrase “The Buck Stops Here “ coming out of Trump’s mouth.

Talk about failing upwards.

u/SoggyBoysenberry7703 6h ago

I feel like maybe we’d actually officially die as a country if Hegseth became president

u/ahhhyesthatisme 6h ago

The nerve of this fucking guy.... thinks he can run for president. FUCK THIS SHIT. THIS CLOWN IS A CHILD.

u/Personal-Globe 6h ago

How’s he gonna run for president if he’s in prison?

u/KaptainKardboard 1h ago

If his murderous ass gets into the white house quickly enough, he can enjoy that sweet sweet presidential immunity to laws. Thanks SCOTUS!

u/ranchoparksteve 6h ago

So, the first woman president, and Pete as First Bro. Trump is slowly realizing that he made Marco too powerful.

Viet Nam really boosted Robert Mcnamera's campaign.

Over my dead body

u/LolaSupreme19 6h ago

Senior U.S. military leaders and recent defense reports have warned that ongoing combat operations in the Middle East have drained key weapons and strained global military readiness. Since this is common knowledge, Hegseth should act.

u/Effective_Scar_2921 6h ago

If reality is still real and the people of the country are allowed to have all their ballots counted and valued, no Republican will get into the White House unless they’re tourist for quite some time.

u/PineappleExcellent90 6h ago

If you want to destroy the military, then yes great job

u/twovles31 4h ago

Usually not the best idea to run someone for president that would lose their home state.

u/Marvin_Frommars 4h ago

There is no bottom to this barrel

u/Forcedperspective84 6h ago

Oh my God. PLEASE run! That will be amazing.

u/OddlyFactual1512 6h ago

That is exactly what was said about Trump in 2016 and 2024.

u/Forcedperspective84 5h ago

Not in 24.

u/OddlyFactual1512 5h ago

It absolutely was. The DNC and large Dem PACs ran attack ads against other potential R primary candidates because they were convinced Trump couldn't win.

President Donald Trump has responded to talk that his Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is considering a presidential run in 2028.

“I think he's doing a fantastic job, but it's very early to talk about that,” Trump said Monday when asked if he would support Hegseth in such an event. “We have to get through the midterms first, and I think he's a very good guy.”

Trump went on to suggest “there's a lot of people considering” running that reporters “don’t know about.”

u/doobiswatching 6h ago

at least if he's president no one can demand he stop drinking so much like they do now.
