Quick questions ?

I recently drilled and cut off tabs and stuff, but it isn’t smooth, is just sandpaper ok to smooth it out, or do I also need a dremel ?

If you want a smooth finish , you're gonna need to use different grits of sandpaper I use 800, 1000, 1500, wet sand 2500, wet sand 3000

Can you drop a pic of what it looks like right now & which areas you're referring to tho

I’m referring to the u shaped, the side tabs

You could grab a simple nail file and clean that up. As long as there isn’t any material blocking your channel. Your good to go, doesn’t need to look perfect brother!

He is not good to go. I see a lot more material left in that guide rod channel that needs to be made flush and smoothed out. If you want your gun to function correctly it needs to be done properly 👍

Doesn’t bud. My channel was rough as fuck and it got smoother when I shot it. (No malfunction’s) Re-dremeled it smooth after 100 rounds.

“It got smoother when i shot it” and you went back and re dremeled it. Might as well do it right from the beginning, as I mentioned. If you’re gonna do something do it right

No, i still see material left. Make the channel flush where you can’t see those lines anymore and smooth it out by going up in grit starting from 100-1000grit wet sand.

On the left side it needs to be a tad more flush, you got it though.

There is a bit of a lip. You need that to be smooth and flush where the recoil assembly rides.

Yeah , sandpaper wrapped around something flat for the tabs And for the guide rod I use an exacto knife because it's cylindrical.I just wrap it with sandpaper anything cylindrical that size will work , just wrap it with sandpaper

Doesn't have to be smooth but it has to clear the slide
