After/before

Taken with a Sony a6100 + Sigma 18-50mm lens. Edited in Lightroom Classic

The bringing back of detail in the sky mask followed by a radial gradient at the left edge really does look as u/LeggoMyLegoLegolas- described, a nuclear blast.

You might consider backing off the sliders in the sky mask.

I think what you've done accentuating light and warmth on the mesa surfaces i great.

This is helpful feedback, thank you - there actually isn't a radial mask in the top left but the fact it looks like one is a helpful learning

Unfortunately overexposed sky is one of the toughest things to recover- in the future expose the shot for the brightest light source and you will be able to recover the same foreground detail and color in Lr

I think the sunlight ends too abruptly. Looks like a nuke going off haha
