Question Nonlinear Navigation?

My friends and I are going to start playing Dungeons and Dragons. I'm the kind of nerd who would be printing out physical props in the real world, but we're playing online... We're using a VTT, which means my 'can be streaming something to the call' slot is free. For visuals and 'artifacts', I thought it would be cool to have a Powerpoint going in a new window that I could stream and use to show images. Unfortunately, I can only go back and forth between the slides in order, and I don't want to have to take it down every time I want to change the slide nor do I want to spoil anything.

When EDITING a powerpoint, I can use the 'slide sorter' to see a big grid of all the slides and select any of them in any order. It's very handy. Does anyone know of a way I can control a slideshow in a similar way? I want to go from 1 to 13 to 1 to 2 to 1 to 6 to 8... without needing to memorize which is on each slide and type in the number T_T

using desktop powerpoint but if another software will help I'm also willing to investigate lol

Assuming you're in slideshow view, press G to see a grid of all your slides; click the one you want to jump to and boom!

Let me ice the cake: you don't necessarily need two monitors. Use ALT+F5 to start your presentation in Presenter View.

Here’s a couple of ideas for you….
When running a slide show you can simply press the desired slide number and press enter. It will take you to the numbered slide.
To see slide sorter when presenting you need 2 monitors. Check out Presenter View - this gives you access to several tools which are handy when presenting. There’s a ‘slide sorter’ type view available to you. You can also view speaker notes - these are notes to yourself - so you can remind yourself which slides to jump to, or things to say
Finally slide zooms on the Insert ribbon allow you to jump to a slide by clicking on a thumbnail of the slide. I don’t know D&D but this a bit too much- but it’s worth a look.

remembering the slide number is easy when i have 4 slides and might be difficult if i have 30 lol. ty for the tips :]

friend of mine suggested the genius solution of Two Identical Powerpoints. one is on one screen presenting, the other is on Slide Sorter so I can see what number codes to type into the one that's running. it is not elegant but it just might work
