Memes I posted this in starterpacks like a month ago and thought why not post here like I'm preaching to the choir, and because I like feeling not alone while dealing with this so frequently. This year and last year have been insane with precognitive dreams and déjà vu for me.

Please share your stories because storytime definitely helps me feel better like I'm not alone or crazy for going through this rn.

I think I know why I am so attuned and have the precognitive information that I have and I know this year and last are very crucial years for my life for a multitude of reasons but I can't really do anything with it rn, if that makes sense to anyone.

For those who dreamt about their future spouse...

Was there a point where you were "given" information yet still didn't believe it and/or struggled with the information? Were you given their exact name? Did you have déjà vu or déjà rêvé when the events started unfolding? Did these events happening unlock repressed or forgotten dreams of the events in question OR did precognitive dreams from long loooooong ago resurface about said future spouse and that's how you realized that your subconscious came to the conclusions that it came to when everything hit you at once? Did mild limerence happen as a result of your precognition?

If anyone can relate to any of the above or if my nonsense makes perfect sense to you I'd welcome your input.

The real question is why?

So let's say you have had a few precognitive dreams...

Interesting, alright... But the real question is why do we have these dreams, and how is it possible (that we have them), and what does it really mean (about the fact that we have these dreams?).

It certainly changes a lot on how you look at your life, no? We think we are making our own decisions, but are we really?

premonitions Has anyone had a precognitive dream about a movie or TV show before it released?

Has anyone ever had a precognitive dream where you saw scenes/details from a movie or TV show before it even came out or before you knew it existed?

I had a very vivid dream about what I now realize was Spider-Noir. I saw Spider noir climbing an old building, people standing in the windows, the dark/cloudy atmosphere, and what looked like old New York even though somehow I knew I was in Los Angeles. There were other really specific details too.
I knew nothing about Spider-Noir. I didn’t know it was being made, hadn’t seen anything about it, and I don’t even watch these types of shows.

I just came across clips from it and recognized everything immediately. Has anyone here experienced anything like this?

Scents in dream

Hi, I am not sure if I am the only one who experienced it. I had a lucid dream about someone. In my dream, we stared each other and somehow I smelled his perfume eventhough we didn't meet yet. After 8 days, he called me out of nowhere. I had 8 missed calls from him (cause my phone was on silent) I am not sure if this is normal or just a coincidence. It's just weird.

coincidence My church's bathrooms

This is probably just coincidence but also kind of funny so I thought I'd share...

I'm in my 40's and go to church (non-denominational), though I'm kind of a "back-slidden" and skeptical/jaded Christian type, whatever... the point is, I really don't like going to church very much but still feel obligated for family and stuff. Whatever, moving on.

Two weeks ago I went to the bathroom during service and was really feeling annoyed at the pastor for stuff he was saying. As I was sitting in the stall, I imagined the vindictive act of flushing a cherry bomb (firework) down the toilet and imaging it would probably damage their plumbing or something bad. I would NEVER actually do that, and I even felt bad about fantasizing about such an act. I don't even know why I thought about it.

Anyway, the next Sunday at church, their main bathrooms were out of order (men and women's) and they had us going to the children church area. Then this week they said ALL their bathrooms were completely out of order.

I suddenly remembered the cherry bomb fantasy and was like "Oh crap, I didn't actually do that did I?" (not seriously of course).

Just thought it was kind of funny and I hope it was more precog and not manifestation or anything. I'm sure it was just a coincidence though. heh.

EDIT: Just to add an FYI, (and from google):

Flushing a cherry bomb down a school toilet is one of the most enduring tropes of 20th-century American teenage rebellion. However, by the 1990s, this prank was largely a myth kept alive by television rather than a common real-life occurrence

Was this clairvoyance?

THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE. I learnt was clairvoyance was AFTER this. I was sitting by a school, when out of nowhere my head felt really heavy and as if there was a tight bowl stuck on my head. Random I know. I started hearing people talking. A woman said “little Susie” and a few other things I couldn’t quite make of. She then got agitated and said “where is my knowledge”
“Where is little Susie” “little Susie do you remember” I started asking questions, she answered “we had to fly” “she was scared” something about an aeroplane? Wtf???? I got up and walked home.

The most recent was a dream I had 3 days ago (it was a dream in a dream) in which a guy I had an ongoing thing with for 4 years said to me that he has a gf. Today he sent me a text saying that he found a gf. Im genuinely confused and looking for some type of guidance from anyone who knows anything about manifestation or predictions.
Thanks for any type of comment!

premonitions I have some sort of psychic dreams I want to work on growing that part of me.

I don’t usually dream but I used to get dreams that would show a future event and then later on that event would perfectly play out just like the dream, after awhile Im my late teenage years I started to be able to remember everything in the dream before it played out and changed things but only small things. Now it’s very rare for it to happen and I’d like to train my brain to make whatever part that can do that stronger. Also it’s not Deja Vu it’s similar but very different considering I literally know what’s going to happen before it happens. Also I wonder if that means fate is fake considering you can change small things or if maybe the larger plan stays the same but tiny things can change. Others with the same “abilities” I guess please respond.

dreams Had this dream 25 days before the floods in Nepal.

(Peep of timestamp of this note in my notes app above.)

I tend to gravitate toward Eric Wargo’s interpretation of precognition. I didn’t wake up and say, “Oh, there’s going to be a flood in Nepal that I can somehow prevent from happening!”. That’s, (seemingly), not how it works.

I was somehow picking up a memory from the future of me reading/watching about the flood. The dream had a certain lucidity to it that most of my precog dreams have, and so I wrote a very brief note of the very last things I saw before coming out of this particular dream.

Makes me believe in the block universe all the more, honestly 🤷🏼‍♂️

My thoughts and dreams seem to be getting stronger — looking for guidance

I’m posting this because lately I’ve been noticing something that has been happening to me more and more, and I honestly don’t know what to make of it. I’m hoping people who have experienced something similar can offer some advice or perspective.
The earliest memories I have of this go back years. I would randomly think about someone I hadn’t spoken to in a while, and then almost immediately they would call or text me. I always assumed this was normal coincidence and never really thought much about it.
But recently, the experiences have started feeling much stronger.
The most recent example really caught me off guard. I was talking about Dollywood and then, throughout lunch, I kept thinking about Dolly Parton in a strangely concerned way. It wasn’t just a passing thought — she kept coming into my mind and I had this uneasy feeling about her. Within about an hour, I saw the news that she had passed away.
I’ve also had dreams that seemed to line up with things that happened afterward. I dreamed about the recent flooding in Asia before it happened. I’ve dreamed about meeting my boyfriend before we actually met, and I also had a dream involving Britney Spears and her DUI arrest before that happened.
I want to be clear that I’m not saying I’m always right or that every thought/dream comes true. Plenty of my thoughts have been completely wrong. I’m definitely not 100% accurate, and I know our brains are incredibly good at noticing patterns and remembering the times something coincidentally lines up.
What’s strange to me is that these experiences seem to be becoming more frequent or intense as I get older.
Has anyone else experienced something like this? Do you interpret these experiences as intuition, coincidence, subconscious pattern recognition, precognitive dreams, or something else?
If you’ve experienced this yourself, how did you learn to distinguish a meaningful intuition from a normal random thought? And is there anything you recommend doing to better understand or explore it without jumping to conclusions?
I’m genuinely looking for guidance and other people’s experiences. I don’t necessarily need someone to tell me that I’m psychic — I’m more interested in figuring out what might actually be happening.

My precog experiences at 30

I had a lot of precognition experiences in my life and I thought I’d share. I’m 30, F. I’ve always been someone with very strong intuition. I’m also good at reading people and pattern recognition and stuff.. but I’ve had many experiences of precognition and I thought I would share a few. Some people in my life know this about me and it’s becoming kind of a joke / known thing that I have something weird going on

Just a few examples

My parents often spoke on the phone downstairs in the early morning with family. I’d wake up and then go back to sleep. One morning my dad gets a call like normal, I hear his voice. He doesn’t sound much different than normal. I knew something bad had happened and someone died. I didn’t think of it much it, it was something that entered my brain and I went back to sleep. Later I found out his dad passed away. I was 9 years old

I had a dream at 10 years old, way too specific and it unfolded exactly like that. I freaked out but no one took me serious.

I worked at a women’s shelter in my early 20s and during weekends when I was off I used to check the work email. There was one specific weekend I had been unable to log on. Monday arrived, I went in and everything seemed normal but I had a very heavy feeling. I read the reports and turns out there had been a very violent incident over the weekend

I had a coworker who I loved, she was sort of like a mentor. One day I looked at her and I knew she’d leave. Like I just KNEW. And was saddened.
Sure enough about 2 weeks later she announced she had taken on a different role and left.

I know when people are pregnant. I can tell very early. I even had moments where I looked up some YouTuber I haven’t looked up for a while and before I hit enter i know they’re pregnant

One more pregnancy one; I come from a big family and hated having many siblings, absolutely hated it and was always scared my mom would have another one. In my teens she became pregnant with the youngest. One day I came home from school and before I entered the backdoor I paused for a second against the wall. I didn’t know what was happening, something felt intense and I needed to pause. Went in, mom is with a friend. That’s the day she had her first dr appointment and it was confirmed

In general I seem to sense life events

On a smaller scale: I know when plans will fall through or get canceled by someone, often I’m so sure I don’t even pick an outfit or something, only do it just in case

I grew up with a group of girls. On a random day I had a thought “I think S is getting married”. Mind you, I wasn’t close with her. I never thought of her. Hadn’t spoken to her in years. She’s only friends with my sister, and our parents know each other well. I didn’t even know she was with someone. I visited my family that weekend and my mom told me S is getting married.

Another one related to family. I went home for a weekend , and had a feeling I would be told bad news. The weekend was normal and I forgot about it. Randomly a childhood friend drops by and we catch up and she told me an awful story about something that had happened in our circle

Bonus one (I posted about this months ago on a different account so if you remember it’s me):

One day I met a stranger, looked into his eyes and had one of those moments where a thought entered my brain that felt like a fact. I thought “we will get married”.
Then we ended up actually falling for each other but before it became anything our paths diverged..so that one didn’t come true but felt very similar.

possible future events Has anyone had an experience like this before?

I was trying to go to sleep last night and the second I closed my eyes I saw a dark/black tall pointy mountain. There was a golden bright light going up to the top of it. I could see blue sky around it and white clouds. It was actually pretty. But something in that moment had told me my grandfather died. He didn’t, but I don’t know if this means something might happen to him or not. A couple of years ago I had a dream about him getting hurt and a week later he almost died. I’ve been told before that I have abilities. Clairsentience, clairaudience, clairvoyance, precognition and more. This might’ve been totally unrelated to him at all but it freaked me out. I just had this feeling that something had happened or that there was a death. I’m not sure. Has anyone had something like this happen before? Thank you

Algo estaba mal.

No sabía qué.

4:04 a. m.

Me levanté.

Me acerqué.

No sabría llamarlo hombre.

Me quedé paralizada.

Entonces , por curiosidad, miré hacia mi cama.

Y allí estaba yo.

Dormida.

Y estaba enojado.

No.

Me incorporé lentamente y volví a tomar mi reloj.

4:05 a. m.

4:05 a. m.

Me quedé mirando a mi esposo.

Casi imperceptible.

Desde nuestra habitación.

Un roce.

Como tela arrastrándose lentamente sobre el suelo.

Mi esposo dejó de sonreír.

—¿Escuchaste eso?
No respondí.

Y entonces dijo:

—Ahora ya sabes que no estabas soñando.

Miré el reloj.

4:05 a. m.

Y esta vez…

el segundero no se movía.

premonitions Knowing when people will die.

Im not sure what the name for this is; but i recall when i was younger, maybe 10, i had to go to this afterschool christian thing and there was this one mean old lady who was there often. Idek if she was a teacher or a parent (some parents stayed) but all i lnew is that she was mean to my friend.

One night, when we returned from school, my friend was upset because the lady was being mean to her, and all of a sudden the words “she will die soon, so dont worry” came out of my mouth. I cant describe it, i felt the answer and it just came out of my mouth. (Smth i also do when reading tarot) a week later, that lady died. Literally a week later.

Another time, when i was 17, i was walking my friend home after a sleepover, and when we parted, i looked at her and i knew i would never see her again. And i didnt, she died.

Speaking of her death, the second it happened i felt it??? Like i know she died around midnight, and i felt an actual pang of doom, and i spent hours trying to call her. It was the next day i found out she had died.

Is there a name for this?? Its so weird… i just know things, but i dont know why.

possible future events Anyone else?

I keep having visions of some kind of massive world event but can’t seem to see exactly what is to come. My grandmother also recently passed and she said she had visions of something she wouldn’t be here to experience but that she was scared for me. I’m curious if anyone else is getting similar visions or messages with a similar theme as of late.

**edit - the reason I am incredibly unsettled is my partner plans to go to New York for the memorial on 9/11 this year and something about letting them go seems to make me insanely uneasy with feeling an energetic pull towards September 12/13th of this year being something I can’t shake as of late.

discussion For those here who are older what has your precognition and frequent déjà vu/rêvé taught you? Any wisdom to share or conclusions you've come to?

Already keeping a dream journal. Other than that, I've had frequent déjà vu for the last 7 years - after being medically cleared I just took it all to mean that I was on the right path, detached and moved on with my day. Dreams I had dismissed as a child and other seemingly nonsensical ones I realized later were precognitive. Certain thoughts, especially if they come out of nowhere and are extremely specific I've learned not to discount right away.

I've always been rational and logical but it's happened to me so much that I don't have a choice anymore in denying or dismissing precognition - I KNOW there's more to this reality beyond what we can see with our own two eyes. I just refuse to speculate into fantasy and assume truth in that because organized religion and various institutions have done such a good job of that already.

That's what I've learned but I'd be eager to hear any nuggets of wisdom from the older folk here.
