Large cyst during pregnancy
Hello, so I’m 12 weeks pregnant, my last ultrasound they found an 8cm cyst on my only remaining ovary. (my left ovary was removed 3 years ago, due to a 12cm dermoid cyst twisting and taking my ovary with it.)
Is an 8cm cyst normal during pregnancy? They said they want to monitor it, but I can’t get past this anxiety that this one’s going to twist, and cause me to be infertile forever. Has anyone ever dealt or heard of things like this?

Pregnant
y partner still doesn’t know I’m pregnant, I was waiting until after my first scan. I’m terrified to tell him if I’m honest, last time I got pregnant he bedded me to terminate it. He’s struggling with substance abuse and depression and I feel really guilty because I know this is going to push him over the edge, he knows how much I want to be a mother, we’re both old enough and financially stable enough for a baby, but we’ve been arguing a lot and this morning he grabbed me by the back of the neck and tried to kick me out of our home. I don’t know what to do, I’m terrified and riddled with guilt and I’m at a loss of what to do. I’ve been told to leave him but I love him, and wanted us to be a family

Potential pregnancy
Okay, I know Reddit is NOT a doctor and I know I probably shouldn’t be looking for validation from strangers online 😭 but I’m genuinely confused about what is going on with my body right now, and I want some outside opinions from people who have experienced early pregnancy or something similar.
Here’s the whole situation because there’s a lot going on:
I’ve had unprotected sex recently and I took Plan B multiple times during this period. I also know that I’m over the recommended weight range for Plan B, which is one of the reasons I’m worried it may not have worked as well. I know Plan B can also seriously mess with your hormones and period, so I realize that could explain some of what I’m experiencing too.
My period was expected around the 24th, but my bleeding/cycle has been weird. I’ve had bleeding, but it hasn’t necessarily felt like my normal period, which is making it difficult for me to figure out where I am in my cycle or when I would actually be able to get an accurate pregnancy test.
Over the past several days, I’ve been feeling REALLY off. My symptoms include:
- Extreme breast tenderness/soreness
- My nipples have been getting noticeably hard even when I’m not cold
- I feel like my breasts/areolas may look different than they normally do
- Pelvic/lower abdominal pressure
- Intermittent pain/aching around what feels like my ovary area
- Sometimes I can feel the pressure when I’m lying down
- Sometimes I notice it when I’m standing or walking
- The pelvic pain/pressure is NOT constant and isn’t happening all day
- Lower back pain
- Lightheadedness/dizziness (this was worse previously but has improved somewhat)
- Headaches
- Light sensitivity
- Extreme fatigue / generally feeling like absolute shit
- Peeing constantly, sometimes literally every 30 minutes
- Just generally feeling like my body is doing something weird and different
I took a cheap Walmart pregnancy test that was technically negative, but when I looked at it with a flashlight I thought I could maybe see another line. I read it within the instructed time window, so I don’t know if it was an actual faint line, an indent, or if I was just staring at the test so hard that I convinced myself I saw something.
I have already had a blood pregnancy test, and it was NEGATIVE. I know that’s reassuring, but I’m worried it may have been done too early depending on when conception/ovulation actually happened. Because I’ve taken multiple Plan Bs and my cycle has been weird, I honestly don’t know exactly when I would have ovulated or when a test would definitively be positive if I were pregnant.
I also have an ultrasound scheduled for Friday. I’m nervous about that because if this is extremely early, I know there may not be anything visible yet. I don’t even know if they’re going to do an abdominal ultrasound or a transvaginal ultrasound/probe, so I’m worried I’ll go Friday and they’ll say they don’t see anything simply because it’s too early, and I’ll still be sitting here wondering what the hell is going on.
At the same time, I know there are plenty of explanations besides pregnancy. The multiple Plan Bs alone could have completely screwed with my hormones, caused breast tenderness, changed my bleeding, delayed my period, etc. So I’m trying not to convince myself that every symptom automatically means pregnancy.
I’m taking THREE home pregnancy tests right now and I’m going to post pictures of all three with this because apparently I’m conducting my own little clinical trial 😭. I’ll make sure the pictures are taken within the appropriate testing window.
I’m not asking Reddit to diagnose me. I genuinely just want to hear from people who have been through early pregnancy and/or taken Plan B and experienced something similar.
Has anyone had a negative blood test that turned positive later because they tested too early?
Has anyone had multiple Plan Bs completely screw up their cycle and cause symptoms like this?
And for anyone who had an early ultrasound, how early were you and could they actually see anything?
Please be honest with me. If you think I’m overthinking the hell out of this, tell me. 😂 I would genuinely rather someone say “girl, you’re spiraling” than have everyone tell me I’m pregnant just because my boobs hurt.
TL;DR: Unprotected sex + multiple Plan Bs (while being over the recommended weight range for Plan B), weird bleeding/late period, extreme breast tenderness, nipple/areola changes, intermittent pelvic/ovary-area pressure and pain, back pain, dizziness, headaches/light sensitivity, fatigue, and frequent urination. Home test was negative/possibly had a questionable faint line, blood pregnancy test was negative, and I have an ultrasound Friday. I’m worried the blood test and/or ultrasound may have been too early.

Cephalexin at 12 weeks pregnant?
Hi moms and moms-to-be! Yesterday, my dermatologist prescribed me cephalexin for an infected cyst. She said not to take it until my OB says it's okay. I cannot see my OB for another 2 days, and the infection is painful. Does anyone have any insight on cephalexin for a pregnancy at 12 weeks? Or any pain relief for an infected cyst? All advice welcome :)

Need advice Best pregnancy items
My partner is 11 weeks pregnant, she's getting the real experience (As in experiencing all the symptoms), I'm doing my best to support everywhere I can, some methods more effective than others.
What I'm curious about is what items or foods etc made you feel better / helped you through pregnancy.
For example, ginger for nausea, which we tried and had no effect.
Hit me with your best ones! Thanks in advance :)
Edit: I'm not completely sure if this is the right place to ask for such advice, if so, my bad.

Question Does heart rate gender prediction have any truth to it?
The idea that fetal heart rate can predict sex has been around for a long time, with common claims that higher rates indicate a girl and lower rates indicate a boy.
Medical sources generally do not consider fetal heart rate a reliable predictor of gender, but many families still compare the prediction with their actual results. Did the heart rate prediction end up matching the sex later confirmed through testing or ultrasound?

Can early pregnancy symptoms feel exactly like PMS during the two-week wait?
I’m currently in my two-week wait and trying to conceive. My period started on August 8. I believe I ovulated around cycle day 11 or 12 because I went to the hospital on cycle day 13, and they told me that I had already ovulated.
Every cycle, I usually get similar symptoms before my period, especially mild pain around my lower back and butt area and a feeling in my lower abdomen like my period is about to come.
This cycle, after ovulation, I’ve also had quite a lot of bloating and gas/farting. I’m not sure whether these are just my usual PMS symptoms or whether they can also happen in early pregnancy.
For those who have been pregnant, did you experience symptoms that felt exactly like your normal period was about to come? I’m wondering if pregnancy symptoms can be this similar to PMS, because right now I really can’t tell the difference.
I haven’t had any implantation bleeding or anything unusual. I’m just curious about other people’s experiences.
