Premiere Pro export stuck at 61% — no effects, raw MP4 footage

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with an export in Adobe Premiere Pro. The export consistently freezes at 61%, including when I try exporting through Adobe Media Encoder.

The sequence contains only raw video footage—there are no effects, transitions, or heavy processing applied.

Project/footage details:

  • Resolution: 1920 × 1080 (Full HD)
  • Frame rate: 50 fps
  • Source format: MP4
  • Effects: None
  • Export: H.264
  • Issue: Export gets stuck at exactly 61%

I’ve also tried exporting through Media Encoder, but it freezes at the same point.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue or knows what could cause Premiere Pro to consistently stop at the same percentage?

Any troubleshooting suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Try transcoding the file named in the error to ProRes in Shutter Encoder:

https://www.shutterencoder.com/

and replace the file in your project

Solved! I tried that, but the process in SE kept loading, so I went back to Premiere Pro, disabled the exact clip, and tried re-encoding the sequence. This time, it exported successfully. The issue was with the footage from the other angle. Thanks for the suggestion, Bruh.
