Hi, This is the very beginning of this series. As the first step, we are going to discuss about “How to build a Dockerized RESTful API application using Go”. In this post, we are discussing, 1. Creating a new Go project. 2. Adding initial HTTP server. 3. Adding initial Docker files. 4. Adding initial configurations. 5. Adding Chi router. 6. Adding Zerolog logger. 7. Adding DB docker file. 8. Adding initial database migrations. 9. Adding GORM. 10. Adding initial books API routes. 11. Implementing RESTful handlers. 12. Adding Validator.v9.

Because Go is faster and lightweight compared to both Python and Ruby :)

You might not like to the answer. But, that's the truth :) By the way, Go is a very easy language to master.

That is still the wrong answer.

The question "Why not use X" is not so you could tell me buzzwords about your favorite tool Y. But so you would evaluate why couldn't you do everything you did right now with the tool X and would stop putting weight on the tooling you used.

The post becomes useless when you remove the tooling part because you might as well read the RFCs which are much more informative and truthful compared to your hearsay.
