Not sure if you knew this, but we are currently going through a bug extinction, with 40% of species currently facing extinction. Theres been a 50% decline in local bug populations. 75% of flying bugs have disappeared over the last 40 years, obviously depending on geographic location.

I really do suggest you step outdoors, maethendias. Did you ever lift up a rock as a kid and see all the bugs. Go lift one up right now and tell me what you see. For a majority of the world, the answer is almost nothing. Even in remote locations, bugs are disappearing.

Do you know what the food web is? Do you know what's at the bottom? Thats right, its bugs. Nature is dying right in front of your eyes.

Best part is, Im willing to bet that wherever you are also has a massively declining population of insects, you just havent stopped to really look.
