Dvd/cd issues

Well i turned on my old ps2 after years so it only reads 1 game (Red Faction) it dosn't wanna open any other game what so ever tho console is pal version SCPH-30004 can someone help me out.

Drives either gone or needs recalibrating. Common issue with the early PS2's. My original PS2 didn't even last a few years before the drive stopped reading back in the day. You can try recalibrating with PMAP, or you can replace the laser if you've got the skills(both requiring soldering), but considering how cheap PS2's are, you might be better off just picking up a working one off a marketplace.

So after loading that game started loading all of my games??? This is weird

Maybe a capacitor problem then. When capacitors start to go they take longer to get full charge so in the case of a disc drive it might take a while before there's enough power that the laser can read the discs. Perhaps the capacitor that's providing power to the drive. I'm not too knowledgable on board layouts though.

I went deeper and took apart the console and saw black part on the power suply.... am not powering this console again.
