My daughter is a junior this year in a small town of Louisiana. Since May, I have called almost 20 or more public to private schools to see if they accept outside student to take the PSAT/NMSQT in October. So far, ALL have rejected the idea allowing an outside student to take at their campus. Private schools stating they only offer it to "their own students", and then public school states, "in their policy, they can not due to fact they would have to pull another teacher and test her separately in a different class. That is out of the question." Unfortunately, her school doesn't offer it. It feels unfair and discouraging when there is little to no access. Does anyone have any pointers to give or take? I'm so lost.

I’m starting practicing SAT, and I’ve seen tons of ads of oneprep on my fyp. Should I buy the subscription or any other alternatives?

How different will my SAT score be from my PSAT? I'm taking the NMSQT test this October, and I signed up for the September and October SATs as practice. I really want to get semifinalist. What would a 1540 or 1550 on the SAT translate to on the PSAT?

I got a 211 and qualified, but people who got a 210 did not.

Is there a minimum gpa to get nmf? Im wondering if the fact that i’ve gotten 8 Bs in hs, (3.7 uw) would stop me from getting nmf?

Compass has posted the National merit semifinalist cut off scores for 2027. Has anyone received an official communication from school ?

HI GUYS!!! so im an international student , and im taking the SAT for the 4th time in sept, and it only occured to me now that when i go to see my past scores, it says that in my country there were 5.4 million test takers in the past 3 years, and like 300k in my state. im from a small country in Europe so these numbers don t really add up, very few people take the SAT here. When i registered for it, I selected Outside the US, and then My school is not listed, and ended with: My school is not listed - International (and with a New York adress). In my account settings, i saw that my location is set as US territory (and below: My school is not listed - international). To fix this, i clicked on Outside the US, My school is not listed, and then it selected as No longer in high school/My school is not listed . DO YOU THINK THAT ALL OF MY TESTS HAVE ACTUALLY HAD THE PROBLEMS FROM THE US AND WAS IT GRADED BASED ON THEIR CURVE INSTEAD OF INTERNATIONAL? (especially because the numbers from the comparisons are really huge)

Hi! I’m going into Grade 11 and planning to take the SAT for university applications in 2028. I’m currently looking into SAT prep programs/courses, but there are SO many options and I don’t want to waste money on something that isn’t actually helpful.
I’d really appreciate recommendations from people who have **personally used** a program.
If you’ve taken an SAT prep course/program, could you tell me:
What program did you use?
How much did it cost?
Was it online or in-person?
How long did you use it?
What was your score before vs. after?
What did you actually like/dislike about it?
Did you feel like it was worth the money?
Were the practice questions/tests good?
Was it better for Math, Reading/Writing, or both?
Would you personally pay for it again?
If you tried multiple programs, which one was the best?
I’ve heard about these and i’m interested in hearing about UWorld, 1600.io, PrepScholar, Kaplan, Princeton Review, Schoolhouse.world, Khan Academy, and private tutoring, but I’m open to anything.
I’m an international student living in Saudi Arabia, so online programs are easiest for me. My budget also matters, so I’d love to hear about both cheap options and more expensive programs.
Please be honest even if your experience was negative! I’m trying to make a proper comparison before spending money.
Thank you!! :)

Is the college board PSAT 10 NMSQT Bluebook online practice tests accurate at all? I thought they were pretty credible at first, cause I mean it's college board and they're supposed to be yk THE place to go to for tests. But doing one of the practice tests, It felt like something was extremely wrong.
Just a couple months ago I took the official PSAT 10 without prep with an "okayish" score, and haven't studied at all in the time between taking each test for some reason, yet the difference between both scores was too much for someone who definitely didn't improve over that time period. In addition, module 2 was the same exact difficulty as module 1, even though module 2 was the advanced version.
Overall, I felt the experience wasn't very accurate or reflective of how the actual PSAT would be, considering the actual yearly distributions, and wanted to check if anyone had any recommendations for other PSAT practice tests? I was thinking Princeton, Barrons, Petersons, Kaplan etc but was wondering if there were any brands people who took the actual PSAT 11 could vouch for.
Also, did anyone else have this experience/is the test just like that? Because it could just be an error on my part
Thank youu

So I really want to do well on the PSAT and thus I have been studying a lot over the summer. But to speed things up as well as focus on the SAT, I only did the SAT practice problems that Collegeboard gives. I had a hard time with the PSAT 9-10 but I didn't put as much studying in as I have for the last few months. I don't remember how difficult they were in comparison to what I am doing now, so can someone share their experience and the difference between the two?

my latest SAT score was 1400, 780 math and 620 verbal, i have 30 days to raise my score to 1450+, preferably 1500, are there any websites, videos, channels that ACTUALLY do the job? im so ready to lock in but the last time i was preparing for the exam i was all around the place, i think thats why i didn’t get a higher score, my biggest weakness is information and ideas.
