Send Good Thoughts Please
My eldest furbaby had a seizure today. She’s okay now, but it was hard seeing her go through it and not be able to do anything but try to comfort her. Please send your good thoughts for Lili as we figure out next steps and options with her vet. 🥲💙

My pug had numerous seizures, she would be tired afterwards but recovered quickly.

I’m sorry to hear your pug had seizures, but relieved to know she would recovery quickly afterwards. Lili seems to be back to her normal self for now after some rest, so fingers crossed!💙

Thank you, they were likely caused by the Apoquel she had to take but I would definitely have a vet look into this if it’s new.

That’s unfortunate about apoquel potentially causing your pug’s seizures, since I know that’s a medicine that really helps a lot of pets with allergies. I’ve been talking with Lili’s vet already and we have an in-person visit soon just to double check her over and decide her treatment plan.

We have had two with seizures and the vet may suggest a med. One small pill a day pretty simple… I’m thinking about her

Thank for your kind thoughts and the info about a medication option. It would be great to have a simple daily pill like that to manage any future seizures. 💙

Always heartbreaking to see your loved one with a seizure or in pain without being able to do something about it 😭.

Look into CBD oil. Really helped my pug along with seizure medicines

She is such a cutie! As you move forward with learning about the seizures and want some support you could join R/epilepsydogs. It’s a great group with lots of advice and caring pet parents who just want advice to make their best friends comfy.

My Frenchie/Pug had his first seizure this past spring and that sub has calmed my mind. Knock on wood, he is doing wonderfully on his meds!

One of our girls suffered from seizures and had to have medication for the rest of her life. I know how worrying this must be for you

My Diggory had epilepsy. He was on meds for his whole life, but once on them, never had another seizure. He lived to nearly 16!

I’m SO sorry to hear. That must’ve been terrifying for you both. I always say I will wish out good/positive thoughts into the universe and that is exactly what I will do! I truly hope the vets will be able to figure out what’s wrong and that it will be a simple fix or solution to manage this. 🫶❤️

Sending Lili and you only good positive thoughts. Our dog lived to age 15 with epilepsy and had a very full life thanks to medication. If no specific cause can be found medication can be very effective at keeping the seizures gone or at least very reduced.
