I (M 20)recently interviewed for a QDOBA General Manager position with the District Manager and would appreciate some insight from current/former QDOBA GMs or DMs.
The interview was about 15 minutes and overall felt pretty positive. She told me she had 3 other interviews to complete and expected to make a decision by the end of next week.

For background, I have:
•About 2 years of Chipotle management experience
•Started as an associate and worked my way up to Service Leader
•Trained and developed employees and built teams
•Ran grill/prep and was very hands-on with the team
•Helped drive sales during peak through customer engagement
Experience with grand openings and getting stores ready
•Current/recent Wawa Team Supervisor experience

When she asked what I enjoyed about Chipotle, I told her I genuinely enjoyed working with food and cooking, especially prep, and that I really enjoyed training and developing people on prep.

And when she asked what I liked about Wawa, I told her I really enjoyed grand openings and getting store ready for operations and bringing in new teams, meeting their family’s and building rapport on family nights.

I also talked about leadership, hospitality, customer service, making customers feel heard and satisfied, building teams,
and being willing to get my hands dirty with the crew.

I asked her questions like:
•What is your biggest priority for this restaurant?
•What separates an average GM from a strong/reliable GM?
•Are QDOBA’s prep procedures similar to Chipotle’s?
There also happens to be an employee at this QDOBA who I previously managed at Chipotle. I mentioned it casually during the interview, said she was great, and the DM agreed.

I don’t have previous GM experience, so I’m wondering how much of a disadvantage that is if the other 3 candidates have already been GMs.

For current/former QDOBA GMs or DMs:
•How heavily does QDOBA prioritize previous GM experience?
•Would my Chipotle Service Leader + Wawa leadership background be enough to compete with experienced GMs?
•What would you look for when choosing between someone with prior GM experience and someone with strong management experience but no GM title?
•Based on this interview, does it sound like I have a legitimate shot?
•How does the final decision usually work after the DM interviews all the candidates?

I know this is long and a lot of questions but any feedback is appreciated.

Does anyone happen to know what’s ingredients, specifically seasonings are in the brown rice, cilantro lime rice, pinto beans, and black beans? I’m wanting to know for dietary/allergy restrictions. I can’t do any spice seasoning such as cumin, chili powder, paprika, etc. even if it’s just a little sprinkle it’ll bother my stomach but It’s being catered for a meeting tomorrow at work so I’m trying to figure out what might be okay and what to avoid.

Just realized there’s a recall on the jalapeños and now I’m stressing because I ate the corn salsa and queso. Can anyone who works there clarify that these jalapeños don’t come from the problematic source??

This one worker at the Qdoba by my house always loads up my bowl. Anytime I go in and see her working, ik my bowl is about to be fire, really makes my day. I be sure to leave a tip when they load it up, thank you Qdoba employees!!

Qdoba has yanked jalapeños from its 800-plus locations as a salmonella outbreak sickens hundreds of Americans.

Mexican-grown peppers may be the source of the illness, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.

The agency has identified more than 300 cases of salmonella in 27 states; almost all of the patients said they got sick after eating at chains such as Qdoba and Chipotle.

The pepper problem comes as much of the U.S. also grapples with an unusually large cyclosporiasis outbreak.

I noticed when i was trying to eat, I was smelling smth weird. the bowl smelled really funky, almost like isopropyl. why is that? do they smell like thay when theyre new? the food tasted fine though, but im just confused and a little concerned with what that is

i was given one scoop of rice and i asked sir extra rice on my bowl and i was told it would be charged as a side 😔 i have got learn how to cook.

Ordered delivery for breakfast as I am stuck at work. This is what I got. I know it is the same ingredients but I didn't want a burrito. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

In their defense I was splitting a delivery order with someone and they got a burrito, so they must've missed it...But mine clearly said bowl. Lololol

Overflowing with mystery liquid. Store manager said the like steak has more juice, but….uhm? Weird experience.

Usually love these exact tacos with any meat option but this was hilariously bad. I particularly enjoy how the cilantro was just scattered atop the soup.

Someone else on the same order got the same meat as a “bowl” and there was absolutely zero juice or liquid present.

I reordered but the store’s response was so bad that I’m mentally prepared for the replacement to be pretty bad too. Honestly they weren’t even nice so maybe I’ll get some spit in there lol

I always get the salsa verde, pickled jalapeños, cilantro, and lettuce in my burrito. Are those safe to order right now at QDOBA?

does Qdoba get their lettuce or any other salsas/fresh ingredients from Taylor farms?? I've really been craving qdoba and since the cyclospora outbreak, I don't want to take any chances!

My wife and I typically like to do takeout once a week (usually Friday’s) after the kids go to bed. I would like to go to QDOBA but I’m not sure what to expect with a full menu options available. Does anyone have insight if it would be worth it? I remember going to Panda Express under similar circumstances in the past and they’d be out of a lot.

Sorry for the not-fun question but I was wondering if anyone could tell me how much of the qdoba ingredients and fresh produce, and if I should avoid anything specifically while ordering. I'll probably skip lettuce and cilantro. But what about the corn and salsas? Thank you :)
