Question/Help false pregnancy?

I had her mated once 18 days ago, and now she’s doing this; can I assume it’s a false pregnancy? How long should I wait before having her mated again? she is a first time mom

I always wait 40 days between breedings. Just because she’s nesting early doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a false pregnancy or failed breeding. Some does will prep weeks in advance if they can and others make a nest in active labor

She's nesting early. Every doe is different. I'd wait till the expected due date and see what happens. If she doesn't have any kits and its a false pregnancy then you could rebreed immediately or within a week if she's too exhausted or stressed.

False pregrancy would mean there's no kits. If there's no kits nursing, her body's not putting energy into milk production. So it should be fine to rebreed if there's no kits

You mated her 18 days ago and pregnancy is on avg 30 days. Why do you think its false? Have you palpated her stomach? You haven't even hit a due date. Don't breed again for at least a month at this point as it can stress her system out. If she does have kits extend that by at least 2-3 addtional months.

because day 18 overlaps with the potential duration of a pseudopregnancy, and she is an inexperienced doe mated to an inexperienced buck, with an owner who is also inexperienced in this area—unlike my last litter with a different doe (whom I bought while pregnant), where she built a nest the day before giving birth.

I've had a doe build while in labor like an hr before giving birth to her litter. I could see the contractions rippling across her belly while she was pulling fur and everything. I've also had one build weeks in advance it just depends on the doe and that specific pregnancy.
