Discussion Zoetic Lockset Ignition not proccing
While I know its better on warlock, I've been attempting to do solo flawless sundered on my hunter, and for some reason the chain igniting no longer works. I have Hunter's Journal with Solo Fulmination + Aspects Char, Eruption, and Ashes, but for some reason I cant get it to trigger. I've tried using Blade Barrage, Hierachy, and 1K (no catalyst) to try and proc the chain, but despite that I've had no luck, which is especially weird considering it worked fine for me last night. Any chance someone knows if im being foolish and missing something obvious?
EDIT: At least specifically for shards of galanor+blade barrage, you have to hit the 2nd eye (going left to right) to trigger the ignition chain. At Kill 3x Stop the ignitions will completely wipe the boss, you just gotta mind the ads.

Galanor? That's what I use on Hunter. Just that, more scorch and better ignitions in fragments, and solar fulmination. Get close ish and hit the one second from the right. Left side seemed to be less consistent somehow.
Also, don't damage it afterwards. Just let it roll. Else it might stop.

The whole time ive been targeting the left-most side, so that very well could have been the issue. Ill test that one shortly, plus didnt realize that damaging could interupt

Forgot knock em down aspect. I had that too. This clip is my first successful one phase, where I was still doing it on the left side. The time before it fell short and just stopped, which is why you see me using truth for a little first. But every time after that I did only the blade barrage.

Yeah turns out it just doesn’t work if you shoot the left most one. Tried like you did in your video earlier and got it done first try. Now just gotta figure out a good option for Kevrekk that doesn’t take forever

You can two phase him with truth if you get everything right, but a 3 phase is very consistent. I went with fortunes favor, prismatic tether, queensfoil artefact for solo operative and rocket buff. 3 void surges, close to 200 weapon stat, some weapon to create orbs with, and something to deal with the subjugators.
Prepare truth at the start, to get your prototype and reapers tithe x4 buffs. Get the symbols done, get as many stacks of armor charge as you can get and activate. Then go underground while it's burning and get some more orbs to refresh the charge. Jump up, tether, get radiant from class ability, and rocket the dingus. Damage phase generally has just enough time to get all the rockets out plus a little bit.
Do be careful with the dread, they like running up to you. I usually jump up to shoot the rockets so I don't get killed by it.

I ended up just doing it last night with Hierarchy + Orpheus and a GL, its a relatively comfortable 5 phase as long as you’re careful and stay in the back right corner of the room

Ive seen some people say it only works on warlock and im not entirely sure why that would be the case but maybe its true Edit: just saw the bit where u said it worked last night. no fucking clue then lol

Yeah that’s the baffling part. I was able to trigger the entire loop last night, but somehow despite nothing changing AFAIK it’s stopped. I’ve even reloaded the instance on the off chance it’s bugged and still no dice.

That’s something I’ve considered but haven’t had a chance to check. I’ve pretty consistently pulled 80 or so FPS, but I didn’t think ignition procs would be affected by that

From my friend and I’s run, we found that if I tethered the boss his dawn chorus ignitions wouldn’t chain, but as soon as tether was gone they’d start chaining like normal

On hunter you want to be using the get back blade barrage infinitely build instead no?

Idk, the build I see with hunters causes them to infinitely chain blade barrages on the Lockset....I don't know anything about it because I don't use hunter nearly as much.

i’m not sure if zoetic is the same since it’s more than 1 unit to damage, but there used to be a problem with infinite chaining where it happened less when solo due to ping

Use gunpowder gamble and stick it on the boss, the chain ignitions worked for me this way

Has anyone had any luck replicating the ignition chaining against this boss on titan, I have tried a few things but haven't found anything that works.

You'll just need something that can instantly ignite. Maybe a weapon that applies nearly 100 scorch paired with Shieldburst can work? I find Devil's Ruin very easy and reliable for this, but there are other options, like Conditional Finality.
I also used Burning Steps for 25% increased ignition damage at max Roaring Flames, and it's pretty easy to keep up for a good while into damage.

It doesn't seem like weapons can ignite at all, conditional did nothing at point blank and weapons like 1k voices and dragons breath don't work either, it seems you have to get 100 stacks of scorch almost instantly or they the stacks dissappear instantly, hence why stuff like the warlock flick and blade barrage are working. I have tried throwing two fusion nades/incendiary grenades/swarm grenades back to back and couldn't get an ignition from these.

ah, I probably should have tested those first I guess. I'm not sure what else you can really do then, but DR works pretty well as I mentioned

Yeah I tested devils ruin myself and you are right it works fine so I guess thats what titans will have to use if they want to do this method for this boss

For some reason, you need to use something that instantly ignites / applies 100 scorch quickly. I wasn't able to stack scorch with weapons or abilities but I tried Devil's Ruin and that worked fine.

I managed to ignite with just ringing nail and song of flame. And it was the third one if u count from the left

I just did it, what it worked was aiming in between the first two eyes (from left to right) with Kill 3x Stop

If you’re trying to do chain ignitions wouldn’t dragons breath be better than the other options? Throw blade barrage and hit it with dragon breath. I know it works with incinerator snap with dawn chorus not sure about hunter

Weapon ignitions don't seem to happen, for some reason. At least they didn't when I tried with 1k.

Yeah. It's probably because they're once again just placeholders. The real damage happens far underground probably to 4 vandals on a platform. I'd love to find a way out of bounds to see it. You can see the damage numbers pop up down there.

I tried doing that as well, but didn’t seem to ignite, but maybe that’s cause I shot it at two different shrikers. I’ll give that one a try when I get a chance in a bit to see it was just user error

I did mine on the hunter using the arc spin-to-win super and anarchy. Liars handshake and the punch-dodge=orb loop for all enemies. I only set the far right lock to kill and almost always had a super by damage phase. I did not leave the right side of the arena except to kill the middle tinnitus-bird. Hope this helps.

this post is about the bugged ignition chaining that can solo 1 phase the lockset, not about general solo flawless loadout recommendations.
