Is anyone else SICK of having to make dinner every damn day?

This along with food shopping. I’m in my 30s and did a food shop today. As I was leaving i saw a woman must be in her 60s going in and thought omg. This never ends. The constant cycle of food shopping and preparing and making meals. I have no interest in this, I simply cannot be arsed or creative anymore. I need a chef 😂😂

Someone here can get one tiny Detail wrong in their sentence and people start bashing them like they commited a crime. Annoying.

Why are chefs in restaurants so performative?

I used to work in restaurants, and I swear some chefs act like they're coaching a fucking World Cup final.

Constantly shouting and barking orders like the entire operation is going to collapse if someone takes 3 seconds too long to plate something.

Everyone is already working hard. Literally nothing changes because you scream louder. You're just making everyone more stressed and more likely to fuck up.

The funny thing is, I work in a corporate environment now where the stakes are arguably 100x higher. Actual money, deadlines, clients, projects, people's jobs, etc. And somehow nobody is walking around screaming at everyone like their life depends on it. People just communicate, solve the problem and move on.

I genuinely think the restaurant industry attracts people who confuse being loud and aggressive with being a good leader. I wonder if some people just couldn't get enough power anywhere else in life, so becoming a chef gave them an excuse to yell at people and feel important.

Like bro, you're making pasta. It's not the fucking Normandy landing.

Do you have freckles?

I'm very fair-skinned, so I've had freckles on my body for a long time. But it seems that I've had a complete burst over the past few years, and now I'm getting freckles in places that have never been in the sun directly. I'm not sitting out, trying to get tan or anything like that. And yet, these freckles are just appearing.

What makes C so appealing in multiple choice tests?

I’m sure we’ve all been there. You’re taking a test, you get to a question you don’t know the answer to, so you take a guess. You picked C, didn’t you? I know I did. Idk why, but there’s just…something, about C, that just *feels* right. Why is that?
