Should I remove this capacitor?

Last time I ran it was a few weeks ago. no issue. it was around 55-65C of 2 hours of runtime, then i put it aside in its case. i took it out to take measurements, and i noticed the burnt smd capacitor. immediately flashed an sd card and tried to boot it, which it did so successfully without smoking or glitching. gemini says it was probably a decoupling capacitor, and i should remove it asap before it turns into a short circuit

I'd replace it rather than remove it.

i removed it and it still works. is there any way to find what ratings it was, or does any replacement with the correct size work?
