*mod note* Unwanted DMs after posting here? Message the mods and we will ban the users sending unwanted creepy/pervy messages.

What we ask you not to do is post screenshots with visible user names. Posting visible usernames might be understood as harassment and doxing and could get the entire subreddit taken down.

Message the mods using the message the mods button, not messaging individual mods, please!

Reddit, unfortunately, does not treat seriously the problems it has with the porn users and subreddits and allows them to mingle with SFW subreddits like ours because scrolling porn is extremely addictive. These users come here and think it's normal to act like that. All we can do is ban them and send a message that way.

That is also why we are so strict with rule 7 - we ban profiles with frequent activity in porn subreddits because we don't want the traffic from those subs. Many subreddits that have mainly women and femme userbases have similar problems, not just us.

To continue not receiving messages, you must block the user on your end. You may also put some guardrails on who can chat with you. More about that is in the WIKI page "Navigating this subreddit".

For more info on how to navigate this space and why we have these rules check out the FAQ and materials in the WIKI (found in the sidebar in the desktop version and in the menu under the name of the subreddit on mobile).

Here is a link to our suggestions on how to navigate this space. Some parts are under construction still. Most relevant is the section on DMs. We suggest checking out other pages of the WIKI with useful information as well :)

I’ve always kept my body hair short or shaved out of personal preference, although I love body hair on other people. I recent stopped maintaining my armpits solely because my clippers broke. I’ve gotten used to having long armpit hair now, but for some reason it catches me off guard when I see it in photos (I don’t like it & think it looks bad)

Again, body hair on others never bothers me and is usually admirable in my opinion. But when I see it on myself, i think it looks too thick, dark, and ironically unnatural. It’s all I can focus on when I can spot it in a photo of me. And that’s not the case when other people have armpit hair.
Anyone else have this experience?

Proud Moment Went to a water park

I went to a water park today for the first time since i stopped shaving and i actually felt quite confident. People probably noticed my hairy legs and armpits but i didn't care. Maybe I didn't see them look cause I wasn't wearing my glasses and didn't hear them say anything cause it was pretty loud in there, but i didn't feel bad at all and I had fun.

Proud Moment Who else has chest hairs?

Yesterday I wore my fancy dress with no sleeves and a low cut. I'm getting more comfortable wearing those type of dresses with my body hair exposed. My chest hair is one of those things that is a heavy back and forth for me. Mine grows in a strip right down the middle and are thick and visible. It was the only part of my bodyhair I somewhat consistently removed. I simply ran out of wax strips so I let it grow out fully, and I didn't want the chest hair to stop me from wearing the dress. I used to not be the biggest fan of my happy trail but I've come around to it these past couple of months. I was considering electrolysis for my chest hairs, but I think I want to give it some time before I make such a permeate decision. And if I keep it the less money I would be spending.

Advice never shaved but my confidence is wavering

i've never shaved but i'm considering starting... i'm completely fine with my armpits and pubic hair, but i just can't get over my leg hair. it makes me feel so ugly and while i know intellectually that the only reason i feel this way is because of arbitrary societal pressure, i don't know how to actually make myself okay with it. i feel ridiculous when i wear skirts or heels and sometimes even when i go out in shorts i end up just staring at my legs and feeling awful about it. i don't really want to start shaving but i don't know how else to deal with this.
(i'm a lesbian so it's not really about potential partners liking it, more about me being unable to get over myself.)

I have really dark and long body hair but hate shaving with my entire soul... so I just bleached it instead and I feel free, and can still feel the wind in my hair. 💛✨️

Show & Tell I'm almost 26, stopped shaving in 2019.

I've seen some mentions of thigh hair and particularly dark hair so I thought I'd share my own and see if anyone resonates with it. I still worry about what others think when they see my legs, but that DOES NOT stop me from wearing shorts or skirts, ever, no matter where I'm going. I just remind myself this is how I naturally look and if it bothers someone, that's their problem, not mine.

I do struggle more with showing my underarms :( It feels like even people who are okay with women having hairy legs often "draw the line" at underarms. But again, that sense of doubt isn't enough to make me want to remove the hair. Absolutely not worth the physical discomfort. Thanks for reading :)

Vent I dont see anyone in here with thigh hair like mine

Whenever i see people posting photos in here which show their thigh hair, it always looks so thin and tidy.

None of my female friends shave or wax their thighs, because the thigh hair is either blonde or they barely grow hair there. One of my friends (whose hair on her head is significantly darker than mine), has visible thigh hair but hers look just like i see in this subreddit. Thin and tidy, growing mostly in one direction.

Mine on the other hand is long, thick and dark. Currently im letting it grow since ive been wearing long trousers anyways. I want to be able to feel confident without shaving my thighs. But its hard when all thigh hair on women i see looks significantly thinner, shorter and tidier than mine. Mine also somehow grow in all directions.

Why do i not see anyone with similar thigh hair to mine :(

Advice Want to pluck a few places but don't want to permantly remove hair

I do not want to remove large swaths of hair at all but a few locations I would like to remove but HATE shaving. I am worried that if I reguraly pluck it won't come back if I stop. Same with waxing. Do people have experience or advice?

So I see a lot of hairy pits here and I love seeing y'all show them off in public or wear tank tops freely!

I'm still pretty self conscious about my body hair because it's dark and *thick*. I used to get *the worst* razor burn, ingrown hairs, and itchy regrowth. It's been 3 years since I last shaved and my armpit hair is sooo soft now.

I worry a lot though that my pits may actually be *too* hairy. However, I made the realization today that they kind of look like wings!! 🦋🧚‍♀️

Please convince me not to keep hiding these beauties because I think they're pretty rad.

Question Are any of y'all also makeup free?

I am both razorfree and makeupfree for over a year. I love it. I've never felt more like my natural self tbh. I'm curious to know how many of y'all are the same?

Support I want to shave—help talk me out of it!

I’ve been razor free for about 4 years now. I encourage others to be razor free and consider my hairy self to be a part of who I am personally as well as my political and social beliefs. Over the past few weeks (months, really), I’ve been thinking more and more about shaving. The shame of it is creeping back up, but I know the moment I put the razor down and my legs are bare, I’d regret it horribly. I do miss the way freshly shaven legs feel in silk pajamas or clean sheets, and I miss not feeling like I was othering myself in some way by having unshaven legs. Has anyone else dealt with this before?

My whole legs are hairy and it is so nice to never deal with ingrowns and skin irritation anymore. (Alas, I have shaved my whole body in my 20s.)

I've been wearing shorts all summer without a care in the world!

Razor-free underarms for years, until these heatwaves

I have been pretty much razor-free for a really long time now, though I do trim my genital area just for hygiene and sexual reasons.

That was, until this latest heatwave. I had just had enough of the chafing and itching under my arms. I really miss the look of it - I loved having hair there - but the heat just got to me. I run a lot and I was starting to get rashes! Do men have these problems too?

Advice How to feel comfortable receiving head with a bush. Spoiler

I hope this is not inappropriate. But I've been feeling so self conscious from the time my bf went down on me ( I've been pretty confident with my bush in the past).

He says he doesn't mind but I'm still struggling to relax.

flaunting it in public more and more makes me feel confident. it helps a lot knowing that people are into it, too.
