I was subbed to a child free subreddit bc well i’m child free but came across a post with such vile comments about women’s bodies during pregnancy, yes i agree pregnancy can definitely be traumatic and change the female body a lot but the things they were saying were borderline incel talk, stuff like pregnant women should cover up because no one wants to see their disgusting bellies, basically just shaming them in such odd ways and when i commented about how people are starting to sound misogynistic i got downvoted like ok

The irony is.. If one really wishes to put a moral value on pregnancy as these people do.. I think they are the ones that have internalized misogyny..

I mean.. women have the ability to create live. That is quite extraordinary. And something men can't do. So you can chose to have respect for that and see it for the wonder it is.. Or completely diminish it, making it completely ordinary..

That feels like something men bent on controlling women would do..
