Reddit's answer to any minor inconvenience as a couple is "break up" or "divorce"

At some point I'm gonna start to suspect it's a meme

sounds like it’s time for you and reddit to get a divorce

Isn't it for us all?

It’s so bizarre. My theory is that commenters don’t have the imagination to picture a nuanced human having made a small mistake. Instead they picture a slob, that only and always acts as OP describes from their pov.

As if these people would leave their SO for such a small thing, but preach it to others lol.

This, and/or they are single and petty about it and don't want anyone else to have happy relationships either

Depends on the sub. Feels like bigger subs are the places where Reddit stereotypes occur and the smaller subs are where people satirize and make fun of them

I think part of it is people who don't want others to be successful in relationships out of jealousy.
