I am requesting to take over moderation of r/ArtBuddy because the community is active but currently appears to have very little active moderation.

I have around 6 months of experience moderating high-traffic art communities on Discord, where I have handled moderation and community management in active art-focused servers. Because r/ArtBuddy is also an art-focused community, I believe this experience is directly relevant to the type of moderation this subreddit requires.

I have also been an active member of this subreddit and have seen users repeatedly raise concerns about the lack of moderation and the moderator being inactive for an extended period of time. As a regular user, I have tried to help where I can and respond to users when issues come up, but there is only so much I can do without moderator permissions.

I have linked some relevant discussions below where users have specifically raised concerns regarding moderation and the inactivity of the current moderation team:

There are more complaints regarding moderation raised by users in the comments. If you need more evidence, I will be happy to provide it.

Based on my previous moderation experience and my familiarity with this community, I believe I can provide the active moderation presence that r/ArtBuddy currently needs. I would be able to regularly monitor the subreddit, handle reports and rule violations, deal with spam, and help maintain a consistent and well-organized community.

I also contacted the current moderator through modmail over a week ago regarding the possibility of helping moderate the subreddit, but have not received a response.

I would be happy to take responsibility for actively maintaining the community and believe I have the relevant experience and familiarity with the subreddit to do so effectively.
