I would like to request ownership of this subreddit for the following reasons:
First, I am a subject matter expert in regards to this game. I have been a member of the Wildstar community since I first started playing the game three days after launch. I played the game during the entirety of its lifespan as a live service MMO, up to and including broadcasting the server’s last moments on Twitch back in 2018. Additionally, I am still very active in the game’s community, as I am one of the World Story Coordinators for the still-active WildStar Roleplay (WSRP), as well as a user who keeps appraised of emulation efforts for the game. I am also an Elder in r/Wildstar, as I have been a poster on this sub for several years.
Second, I have a long history as a moderator and community organizer, but within and without the Wildstar space. On top of my time in this game’s fandom, I am also one of the founding board members of a multi-state Warhammer 40k non-profit known as Killteam Cascadia, which organizes tournaments with prize support that give away Golden Tickets to Games Workshop’s Warhammer Worlds Grand Tournament. I am also currently one of the moderators of r/HonkaiStarRail, a significantly larger and more active community for a still active live service game, which is also the officially recognized and supported subreddit of the game’s developers. The exact specifics of the work I do there is under NDA with Hoyoverse/COGNOSPHERE, but I am very active there.
Lastly, the staff on r/WildStar is simply inactive. The majority haven’t posted on this site for years, the subreddit doesn’t have simple work done like sub rules or a sub banner/icon, and the sub’s description is woefully out of date (it is still as it was when the game was Live back in 2018). If given ownership of the subreddit, I plan to install a new group of moderators pulling from the various surviving fan communities from the game, and will create proper rules for the sub.
