Dataset Requirement
Hi everyone, I'm new to the field of Remote Sensing and currently working on my dissertation topic, "Remote Sensing of Coastal Waters". I’m looking for suitable datasets that I can use for my research.
Could anyone please guide me on which datasets would be relevant and where I can access them? Any suggestions or resources would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Tell us more about what you want to do. Landsat and Sentinel constellations have bands specifically suited to water, coastal water, and vegetation health, so there's likely something for you there. Feel free to DM me.

Research should start with a question not with a dataset - "Remote Sensing of Coastal Waters" is extremely extremely broad and nowhere close to a dissertation topic yet (sounds like a class paper for an intro remote sensing class...). Start reading literature reviews in that area, keep reading about things that interest you from that, and then develop an actual research question.
Here's a place to start, from a google search. Pick one of the 9 or 10 research areas there, then look for a study area where that type of study would matter and then go from there.

How are you doing a dissertation (or thesis?) on remote sensing if you’re so new to the field that you don’t know what datasets are out there? What did your advisor say? What did you learn in your classes?
