The gym at the landing is much better but Fairwood is less crowded.

Why are you asking about places in Utah in a thread about Rent’n Washington? I moved from Utah seven years ago. Luckily, and surpisingly, I can’t think of any places with country music.

The crowd always seems off, and I hate karaoke. I feel like there’s always karaoke there.

Any recommendations for the opposite? I’m from the Midwest and staying in Layton for work for the week. Me and my buddies are looking to go to a bar to hangout and have some drinks. Maybe something that plays country music, and isn’t a borderline gay bar. Not trying to sound like an asshole, but this whole Davis county and down to SLC has been a bit of a cultural shock.

What exactly do you not like? Just curious (as someone who has spent some time in some divey ass bars).

Natural Health Massage in Fairwood is excellent. It’s a Foot Reflexology place, but they do standard private massage as well. My wife and I go there all the time. I doubt they take insurance though. 14256 SE 176th St

yeah, they're all pretty casual. I see some fancier dressed folks at Vino and Sansonia though.

CC is quite gentrified, more than the flat part of Renton. I don't look to the Hyatt for a fancy night out but I'm sure it's fine. Lotties is probably the closest actual cocktail bar

Ditto for Melrose and Red House. Great food, cute and cozy atmosphere, but not the vibe I would consider "pinkie out"

You would consider the Brick a place to dress up fancy? I would not recommend that place to OP for a fancy night out. I would absolutely implore them to swing by for the garlic noodles on a different occasion though.

Uncle Mo's was terrible. Sat there for 15 minutes, while the bartender looked at us, instead of asking what we wanted to drink. Left without ever being welcomed.

Ashi Empire takes certain insurances! Excellent massage therapists, they are up near Benson Hill. If you’re willing to travel, I also highly recommend Evergreen Massage Therapy in Covington. They take Kaiser Permanente & I believe have massage packages to save some money.
