Before & After After & Before
I hadn't retouched close-up portraits for a while, so decided to practice.
What could be improved and what mistakes did I make? Thanks

It was maybe 10 years ago when I found out some translated text instructions about retouching techniques, haha 😅
Here are just healing brushes, frequency separation and some color and light correction masks.
Plenty of brilliant (and up to date) tutorials regarding all this on youtube now, in any language as well. Some tutors also provide free actions to speed-up some processes, but better to make it manually first few times to better understand what’s going on

It will only take maybe month 1-2h/day practice, no need to spend 10 years, believe me. Maybe good channel to explore might be phlearn, he has playlists for various topics, including portrait retouch. Some videos are very old, but tbh most techniques are still the same, only photoshop layout and retouching trends changed since, you just want to keep skin and colors more natural nowadays (usually).
