Technique Question Bindrune

Hello.

Some time ago, an ex-partner created a bindrune for prosperity/money for me; however, our relationship ended rather turbulently. Even though she gave me the amulet with good intentions, could it have a reverse effect due to the feelings she still harbors for me? Should I get rid of it? If so, how?

Is this a correct use of a bindrune? I plan to place this inside the wall of my home.

My home is being repaired after some intense damage, so I did some research and combined Algiz and Othala, and carved them onto this piece of cedar. I plan to place this inside the wall of my home before it gets sealed up so that the bindrune becomes part of the home. Is this a good use of the bindrune, and did I carve it correctly?

I believe that doing things with care and respect is important, so if I have been clumsy or wrong, I would like to know.

Rune meaning question

I inherited my grandmother's runes when she died. I was never allowed to touch them while she was alive. She told me before she died that the easiest way to communicate with the gods was to ask a simple question to the gods of our family, Tyr and Baldr, and pull a rune out and read its interpretation. I have done so, with remarkable accuracy.

The other day I had a slight panic attack of the future and asked the gods what I should know about the near term future. I stuck my hand into the bag of runes, as I was pulling out a rune one flew out of the bag with ferocity. It was the Ehwaz rune, however it landed in front of me sideways. The rune I pulled out with it was the blank rune. I have no idea how I should interpret Ehwaz. However the gods wanted me to see it with the blank rune.

Technique Question Are runs only used for divination?

My idea is to imbue runes on objects, in my head they could guide the energy around us or smt idk how to explain. Basicly i wanted to carve in a clayball certain runes so i could make a spell that binds luck to the clay, so when i needed some i could break the clay ball supposedly releasing the luck stored. My question is that is this a concept or not, because i have only seen runes in divination and some in bindrunes, but never in complex spell systems like "code"

Update:
Thank you for all feedback and positive criticism, your ideas gave me inspiration to keep studying and trying. I made this sketch of the runespell i visualized, please tell me your opinion on it and how to improve it.post with the spell

Advice Wanted First rune stone set

Hi guys, I’m not into spirituality (atheist), but my gf is.

She’s been starting to get into crystals, chakra, astrology, and runes recently and I want to be supportive but I know magic is a fickle thing. I was hoping to carve her her first set of rune stones, but I don’t really know how to do it correctly. I also heard somewhere that rune stones should be made by the user to be more effective? I don’t know if this is true and means that my gift would be meaningless, but I’m hoping to find out!

Any tips on how to make the stones best, what type to make (I think there’s different “languages” of rune for a lack of better term), or anything else that would be a good gift for her would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance, and I hope my personal beliefs (or lack thereof) aren’t offensive, my only goal really is to be supportive to my girlfriend and her lifestyle

Second opinion?

I wanted to get others’ insight into this spread. I know how personal readings can be, which is why I included my own interpretation (or most of it). For context, I am on the precipice of change, hopefully positive but you never know, and was seeking a better understanding around my place in everything.

I typically read right to left, and this spread aligns with my current situation. Generally, I see it as telling me that I am arriving victorious through a hardship that I have overcome (Thurisaz), which is accurate, but it's not over. I will encounter significant future difficulties (Hagalaz), but if I continue to stay true to my strengths and work to understand my challenges, sacrificing where I need to (Tiwaz), I will work through them and achieve harmony.

Under the surface, I see Dagaz providing support through connection, awakening and clarity. This is, I think, tied to my present being in Tiwaz and understanding my strengths and weaknesses, as well as my recent understanding/breakthrough that is leading to the possible change I am encountering. My question lies in Algiz being in the position that typically represents actions I can take to further my cause or work toward my goal. Protection? I’m not sure how to interpret that. Do I protect something I possess against outside forces? Maybe it represents protection from outside forces over me and mine? I just feel stuck there for some reason and am curious about others’ insight. I have only been reading for about a year and a half so I'm not as experienced as many on here are. Thanks in advance!

Advice Wanted Interpretation of reversed runes

Hi! First of all, I'm sorry if my writing is strange because I'm using a translation app!

I've only recently started learning runes and haven't found a textbook yet, but what do you all think about "interpreting runes in reverse"?

I know it's the same method as tarot, but tarot uses pictures and runes use letters, right? It feels a bit odd to me to interpret letters in reverse.

You wouldn't think, "The 6 came up in reverse, so..." if it were a number, would you?

I feel like the idea isn't to simply interpret a rune in reverse negatively, but rather to interpret it in context along with other runes you've drawn and the question you're asking, but am I just being naive about this? I'd appreciate it if you could tell me.

Asking the right question

Is there any advice on how to frame the question when it comes to doing some divination with runes. I sometimes feel as if the question asked isn’t grounded in a way that any interpretation can be linked closely to the casting. Eg it is too future facing = is what I am doing going to give x result or reflective of things that have passed = was that the right thing to do. I think things like = am I on the right path seems more intuitive but just wanted to ask the Q as I feel connected to the process but want to make sure I am doing it in a traditional way.

Hope that makes sense 😉

Rune reading - interpreting

Post image

Hi

I rolled these the other day with the question, “will I find a new career and will I be happy in it? “

I have used ChatGPT for an interpretation but I am wondering if anyone has a more person-centric response to the Q and Draw.
