hi po! im an undergrad student about to start on my undergraduate thesis, and it involves using cell lines (?), specifically L6 rat skeletal cells.

im currently exploring the assays i can do with the titles i have prepared, so i wanna know where i can buy cell lines like these, preferably those of a low price range (think 200-300 usd). tyia!

I wonder what your topic and timeline is for this. I ask because I have an acquaintance working on cell lines they inherited, and it's the kind of project you choose because you know you'll continue working on it for your master's thesis.

You're straight up starting a new cell line so, yk, I'm a little concerned with the scope here. There's definitely merit in learning how to set up and troubleshoot as an undergrad, though. Arguably that should be the expectation for an undergrad project.

I'm testing an endemic plant in our region, and my thesis looks at whether its leaf extract can lower blood sugar and reduce inflammation. we're expected to carry this out within 2.5 semesters, so we'll have to start with the proposal next semester then proceed with the data collection and analysis during our first semester of 4th year. i'm new with thesis stuff so im trying to familiarize myself around the logistics of it, so i might not know a lot right now hehe.
