As you may have noticed we've added some flairs for posts, and while no one's content would ever be removed for having no flair or the "wrong" flair - we do hope to get some input on how folks are categorizing these flairs for themselves. It might also help us shape the expectations as we categorize things in the community.
I'll offer this as a general guideline, but would love for folks to give their own descriptions as well and perhaps we can expand or narrow definitions and examples as needed. Or add different flairs to better fit different categories of scrapbooking.
| FLAIR | Explanation |
|---|---|
| Traditional Scrapbooking | Preserving family history in books, boxes, or cards using physical media. |
| Digital Scrapbooking | Preserving family history in books, boxes, or cards using digital graphics and software. |
| Junk Journaling | Preserving personal history or spontaneous thoughts in a freeform or expressive outlet. |
| Collage | Assembling multiple types of media to form a new image. |
I also added some different colors for user flairs, and plan to upload some emojis to use in those as well. I always use Flat Icon since they let me adjust pixel size! So keep an eye out for new additions throughout the day!

The title kinda says it all, I’m making a scrapbook of my 90 days of nicotine patches to hold me accountable for quitting, it’s been fun so far to scrapbook and collect pictures and things to go into the book. That being said, what is the best glue or tape I should use to keep my pieces really secure? Is one better than the other to use in terms of what will last the longest? Also, where are you guys getting your cute decor and fun decorative supplies? Because right now I’m currently making my own stickers and whatnot. Any other tips and tricks are so greatly appreciated!! Thank you in advance my friends!! Sad it took nicotine to get me into scrapbooking, but I’m sure glad I started :)

I have some (a lot of actually) two-sided 7 7/16 inch wide and 9 inch tall decorative paper and it's double-sided so if I use a binder instead of gluing it into a notebook I can use both sides
I don't really care if the binder is empty or if it comes with plastic protector sheet thingies but it needs to be refillable (I know 99.9% of binders are refillable but I have seen one or two that were not that made me go "?????" 💀)
and as always the cheaper the better of course lol

I’ve been searching for ages but couldn’t find a sticker book with cute foods in it, especially baking stickers. I’ve only found the grabie one but the shipping is quite a lot, so I’d rather opt for something else. I also don’t really like buying from aliexpress etc. Last thing: it would be great if they weren’t AI😅
If anyone has recs that’d be great!
Also, I’d like to find a binder for my recipes. I prefer a binder over a book/journal in this case cause it allows me to rearrange the pages.
I found this one: https://riflepaperco.com/products/recipe-binder-home-sweet-home
But besides being kinda pricey, once again the shipping is insane😅 It doesn’t have to be pre-decorated, I can totally design the cover myself, I just don’t want a boring regular binder you know?
Thanks in advance!!

One of many sticker collages I love to make! Usually I add them to my junky sketchbook or to another junk journal!

Hello, new to scrap booking. I can’t afford to purchase materials or print photos. What household items can I use? I have two bullet journals that I can use. I don’t have newspapers and can’t afford to invest in pens and stickers :/
All the work I’ve seen online looks aesthetically pleasing. I’m worried mine will look boring and like real junk. Rather than fun and creative

Been playing with stamp cutter/punch things a lot lately and found the excess paper almost more satisfying than the stamp itself? 😅 so thought I’d try to make use for them by making tiny frames for doodles.
Anyone else doing this!? Would love to see how people are using them if so…

Hi!! I’m new to the scrapbooking world! Hahaha
I’m curious, where do y’all usually get your supplies that are actually worth the money?
I’d love some recommendations for good places/brands! Pens, pencils… 🫣
Also, what’s your favorite scrapbook/journal book? I’m looking for something spiral-bound with neutral colors because I want to customize the cover/folder myself.
Would love to hear your recommendations! Tks

I want to create a scrapbook for my friend who’s into linkclick, but I’m not sure what are the basics, are there any tips for creating a good, cohesive scrapbook?

Had lots of photos of my dog with/near food so decided to make a picnic themed spread. Might still add a few embellishments but overall i think it came out cute!

In this August Month in Review scrapbook layout, I documented the everyday moments, big events, and little details from an entire month using Simple Stories Domestic Bliss.

Hey!! Im looking for where to find scrapbook supplies in a twee kinda aesthetic. So like- button stickers, stickers that look like they are made out of fabric, background papers with this vibe, etc. I'd prefer to support a small business or an etsy or something, but thats not necessary. Thank you for any suggestions!!!!

Really hope there's a way to repurpose this sticker onto my junk journal. Please tell me it's not a lost cause 🥹
Edit: I was able to save the sticker, thank you for the help!
