Ever since I tried Fable and didn't even manage to get the result of my first prompt because I reached my token limit, I stopped getting excited for new models. They will just use it as excuse to squeeze their clients out even more.

I really don’t know what’s the testing methodology, I just plopped a planning task just now via cowork, and just 1-2 minutes cross referencing the data, and that’s already like $8

I mean you're going to be paying a premium if you use the absolute largest latest model. The pareto frontier exists for a reason.

Does it still come with the ridiculous security guardrails that downgrade your work to a lower class model when you ask it to security review its own code?
Does it still come with the ridiculous log retention on any of your work with it so they can steal you work?
Yea Im good. Opus 4.8 has been more than enough for me for ages now to do the kind of engineering work I do. If you attach to many strings the incremental upgrades just aren't worth it in my eyes anymore.

yeah, very nice video. Mark it for research then tell the users, but we watermarked everything now, so you are fucked if you use it. very good plan Anthropic.

We used to have models for months, now we have them for weeks, soon it will only be days
