Masculinity isn't toxic. Your agenda is.

Masculinity isn’t automatically toxic. Calling yourself a dominate alpha male is a pretty good example of toxic masculinity though.

Is this n American thing? In Europe, I've never heard a single man say this, regardless of their nationality.

u/glitterbaby95 3h ago

I’ve absolutely heard British men say this

-3

u/Big_Psychology_3 6h ago

Never even heard this in the USA. It’s some silly contrived example.

LMAO. Get out in the world then. I see this garbage all the time.

I had to stop rolling BJJ years ago because it was taken over by white supremacists and neo-nazis.

There's a gigantic problem with all of this toxic and misogynistic manosphere nonsense. It's a right-wing recruitment strategy targeting insecure and angry young men, and it's party of the greater 'gender war' psy-op nonsense.

Wow. That'd be great if it doesn't exist. Maybe i just made the term up and nobody's really mentioned the term for the last 10 plus years.

Haha. It is an excellent example of someone being a clown 🤡. If you are an alpha male you don’t need to say it or do things to make others think you are masculine. It will be apparent. And you don’t need to put others down either to make yourself look better.

I agree. I don't belittle people. As you just feebly did. Assumptions don't deserve validation. Facts might. Are you starving for facts or validation? Go have a Snickers

You just belittled somebody passive aggressively after claiming you don’t do that.

Please recognize that society knows masculinity isn’t toxic inherently. Men are a valuable component of our society and greatly valued, and the rise of misandry needs to stop just as the misogyny does. But pretending there isn’t toxic masculinity, or toxic femininity which doesn’t get as much discussion, is disingenuous.

I didn't see anything passive about it. I meant every word of it and it applies to every other condescending critic . Let me see if you chided Snicker Licker above........... Nope. I don't pretend but there are a few. One comment scholar has desires for Goats also. Or so they projected. Orally too. It's there

-6

u/Actual-Woodpecker-95 6h ago

They really don’t though. Misandry is at all time highs.

2

u/November-8485 6h ago

Clarify what you mean by ‘they really don’t though’

-2

u/Actual-Woodpecker-95 6h ago

Society knows masculinity isn’t inherently toxic.

Then why are jobs like firefighting, military, police work, farming, etc., overwhelmingly work done by men, still hailed. Or more directly to the point, if society no longer values men/masculinity, why has America still not had a woman president. If masculinity is so toxic and society doesn’t appreciate masculinity, then explain in detail how a woman hasn’t been POTUS.

What is the definition of masculinity versus toxic masculinity?

-5

u/Actual-Woodpecker-95 5h ago

Hailed? Are you kidding? Male dominated fields are overwhelmingly hated and called toxic.

Army boys. Navy boys. Police officers are assholes. All professions hated for having boys clubs. Farming is completely different and not all men. Firefighting would be the exception here because they are running into burning buildings saving lives.

One step at a time. Do you acknowledge they belittled someone after claiming they don’t belittle others?

There's a MASSIVE 'gender war' psy-op going on right now that affects both men and women.

It's unfortunate.

Reject their bigotry and hatred and embrace love, empathy, and compassion instead!

"I don't belittle people..." Proceeds to belittle someone for the rest of their comment.

u/Nvr1toPanic 2h ago

I'll wait for you to chime in with a reprimand for SnickerLicker above. No?

2

u/WhyThisTimelineTho 1h ago

Nope. Doesn't seem necessary.

u/Nvr1toPanic 0m ago

Neither does your comment add anything different. You were late to the party and your redundancy made zero difference. Had you chided the original Belittler you'd have had acknowledgement you seek.. Not from me. But someone maybe

There are men who are willing to take responsibility; why is that bad? You don't have to accept it.

3

u/BladdermirPutin87 6h ago

Where did anybody say that men taking responsibility is bad?

1

u/Nvr1toPanic 2h ago

Agreed, mrKPXX

0

u/CarelessSeries1596 4h ago

I really don’t understand your comment. No where has anyone talked about men taking responsibility. What are men taking responsibility for?

1

u/mrkpxx 3h ago

Because masculinity represents a specific kind of responsibility.

2

u/CarelessSeries1596 3h ago

Being a human requires the same.

0

u/mrkpxx 3h ago

Men and women are different.

0

u/Ok-Method-8045 4h ago

No one calls this themselves in the real world. Stop living chronically online.

1

u/CarelessSeries1596 3h ago

I said that because OP has it in his profile. That’s all.

-18

u/Nvr1toPanic 6h ago

Lol. If confident and being open about one's own character and attributes is toxic, by your definition a butch or stag personality trait in a Lesbian relationship also is toxic.

16

u/Dddddd92 6h ago

Confident men don't call themselves alphas. Thats just a tell tale that they are toxic

1

u/Savitar5510 6h ago

They aren't necessarily toxic, but they are a corny man child.

10

u/Dddddd92 6h ago

They are toxic. Because they are fragile.

1

u/Savitar5510 6h ago

I wouldn't say someone is toxic because they are fragile either.

5

u/Dddddd92 6h ago

I would. Because fragile masculinity it toxic.

I'm sorry my words hurt your fragile masculinity

u/shiny_crow_trophy 4h ago

Don’t mistake your lack of comprehension as lack of meaning

5

u/favorable_vampire 6h ago

Putting yourself above other human beings on a made up hierarchy is in fact toxic

-2

u/Savitar5510 6h ago

More of just childish.

7

u/favorable_vampire 6h ago

If you’re a child. Being a child in an adult’s body is toxic lol

-2

u/Savitar5510 6h ago

I just call it annoying LOL.

7

u/CarelessSeries1596 6h ago

That… is such a weird comment ha. But no. It’s absolutely not the confidence that’s the problem. It’s believing alpha males exist at all.

Did you know that the guy who created the whole alpha wolf theory later came forward saying it was all nonsense?

Believing that you’re an alpha male, then also openly saying you’re dominant is a big, red flag for toxic masculinity. Being a man has nothing to do with being in charge and being better than the rest.

Are you getting more challenged as you go?

You missed it bro. You were right there. Your post is 100% right- and needed right now. This comment is the exact opposite of what your original post is trying to say. Gotta pull an Obi Wan on ya man. Damn shame.
