I have been skating for about 3 years and yet still I am not capable of landing a proper Ollie -_-. It’s been devastating me for my all years of skating.
I started by landing some little ollies, but as started to progress I slowly started to notice that I keep landing front side. And the higher my ollies got, more I started to rotate. I will link a video of me down the thread. I hope for yall’s help and for the fastest improvement ^_^

I’m looking for new tricks to try down stairs sets. I can do 6-8 stairs, and typically I’m doing Ollies or front 180s down the sets, but I’m looking to try more. What tricks did you guys find oddly comfortable to do or recommend I try down stairs sets? And advice is appreciated as well!

i can't understand why whenever i try to do reverts i seem to have to put so much force into it in order to make the skate turn while i see other people at the same level doing it so effortlessly i think i'm doing something wrong with my weight and i can't understand what that is, i also think it's the same reason why i can't do powerslides

Is this a baby ollie? I can’t seem to get the board higher, idk if I’m just afraid to commit to jumping higher or what. Any tips on how I can pop the board higher?

So I just bought a DCR-SX30E camcorder from Sony. And i really don’t know much about camcorders and cameras in general.
I am going to record ski/skate movies on it. And It needs a wide angle/fisheye lens to do this properly.
And I honestly don’t know how to find the right one. Anyone who can explain or give recommendations on lenses that will fit.

can I save them? I rethreaded with a automotive die set I had but the same sized nuts with the kit don’t fit. Is it worth buying a skateboard specific die n nuts to try? It’s just old Indy hollows/thunders to give to my friends who r just starting out to help reduce the initial entry price to getting a board

Started skating in the fall of last year but it’s hard to stay consistent as an adult :/
Got to a point where I finally understood the motions of Ollies (it took so long I’d cry from frustration lol) then got less scared, understood how to get my knees higher, then BAM! stopped skating for like 2 or 3 months. Came back to it about a month and a half ago and felt like I was right back at the start. Been struggling with them since :(((
The first clip is December 2025 (I started learning in October 2025.) I’ve literally never gotten them like that since. Today I managed to get some of the motion back (second clip) - but I’m struggling so hard to get them higher, my back leg holds me down (obviously I’m also scared but that changes with time.) rn I just need whatever advice I can get to help me focus on getting my knees up, or whatever advice u think is necessary for a beginner.
Also .. are u supposed to be popping outwards when u Ollie? Eventually I wanna get them rolling and I’m confused about how the pop works - some ppl tell me to pop straight down, but then the board jumps out from under me - especially when trying them rolling
Tbh all I do is Ollie for like 2 hours straight when I skate. I wanna get them right so bad it’s so frustrating

I am unsure if anyone here would know but I'm looking for replacement boards for ramps and half pipes. My local skatepark is kinda in need of some TLC and I highly doubt the town will allocate budget to fix it so I want to help the community and just fix it myself. Someone started just caution taping where they have caved in. Lol.
If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it. I don't even know what the name of the boards are called. It looks like plywood and then a layer of some kind of black composite? Not sure. 😬

I wanted to learn how to skateboard, but I don’t have a clue what skateboard to get. I only have a mini, dusty skateboard from a clothing store, but it’s not usable because one of the wheels doesn’t even move. I wanted to get a skateboard that’s already set up — or whatever you call it. I mean, I don’t want to struggle with putting it together. Do you know any good pre-built skateboards for beginners?

So the seller said this deck is 80 dollars ( 800 dh in moroccan currency), and he claimed that the specs are : baker board 8.25 / Thunder trucks 149 / Wheels bones / Bearings bones reds / grip mob. So is it worth traveling an hour for this skateboard cuz the seller is pretty far and i dont wanna get scammed or sm

Looking to get back into skating and wanted to see if any of this could be salvaged for a new board to help with cost.
Board itself was bought and build back in 2009 at a Vans park in Florida. It was a full pro board then but it was in and out of use until like 2018, been on display or storage ever since.
Like would the trucks be useable if I get new bolts and bearings for them or should I just save for a new setup?

Help on fakie lazer!
When I scoop I can make it 360 but my foot stick to the ground (can’t tuck in). If I try hard to tuck, the scoop is messed up! How to solve this?

I am quite seasoned with Nosesliding Curbs and am comfortable sliding for longer distances of 5m or longer in car parks. I can also nose slide higher than knee height ledges.
I haven't been to the skatepark in years but am near one soon so I plan on going there. At the skatepark they have ledges and a hubba that starts on flat and goes down a bank. It looks like a height where I would feel comfortable getting onto and sliding but I gotta say the downwards bank part freaks me out as its obviously a different kind of balance to doing it on flat.
I am thinking of hitting it at the start and going on the flat to downwards but I am wondering how difficult it is going from flat to downwards. Am I in for a shock or is it easier than it seems? Should I just hit the downwards part instead?
Also one has a kink at the bottom, if I decide to hit that will it throw me off or is it easier than it seems.
Sorry for the long text but thank you for any replies.
*Hubba, sorry just woke up.
