📌Community Reminder: Skincare vs. Medical Concern

Hi everyone! We’ve seen some concerns about posts asking for medical diagnoses, and we truly appreciate your concerns in helping keep the sub safe and helpful. Here’s a quick reminder and update:

🔹 Post approvals:
Before, all posts required mod approval. However, since there are many posts each day, it was difficult for us to read and thoroughly check everything since our mod team isn’t always online 24/7 cause we also have work and other commitments outside Reddit. Many members also shared that waiting for approval caused delays.

To make posting smoother, most posts now go up automatically (except those flagged by Reddit as possible spam). Because of this, we need your help: please use the report button if you see posts or comments that break the rules so we can review them faster.

Allowed in this Sub

✅ Asking what kind of doctor to consult for a skin concern
✅ Asking where to consult (e.g., “What kind of doctor should I see?” or “Any good derm clinics?”)
✅ Product recommendations, reviews, and general skincare advice
✅ Sharing personal experience (e.g., “Moisturizer helped my redness”) without diagnosing others

Not Allowed in this Sub

❌ Posts asking for a direct diagnosis (e.g., “What is this on my skin?”)
❌ Comments speculating about medical conditions without basis (e.g., “That’s cancer/STD”)
❌ Disrespectful or toxic behavior toward other members
❌ Suggesting or prescribing medications for serious conditions
❌ Posting fake reviews of products
❌ Off-topic content not related to skincare
❌ Affiliate links, selling, or solicitation (including disguised links)
❌ Self-promotion of personal blogs, shops, or services

📌 Starting this week, we will also begin removing posts that are asking for direct medical diagnoses. This is to ensure members receive safe, accurate advice and to keep the sub focused on skincare-related discussions.

If you report a post or comment, please allow some time for us to review and take action.

This sub is here to focus on routines, products, and helpful skincare discussions. If you have suggestions or feedback on how we can improve the community, feel free to share them with us! 💙

Face Questions how do I fade these post-acne marks? HELPPP😭

Post image

HELP!! How do I fade these post-acne marks and have a smoother, clearer, and even skin? Nakakababa ng confidence, instead na mag glow up, nag glow down😔 I have an acne prone skin talaga but recently I had the worse breakout and didn't realized that time I keep on popping my active acne noon kaya it resulted to this🥲 Someone I know worked for a derma then I sent my pic and they gave me a cleanser, 2% salicylic acid toner, and Tretinoin with erythromycin gel (without proper consultation so the derma never knew what my current skincare is)

Skin Type: Combination/sensitive

Age/Gender: Early 20s F

Current Skincare Routine: Gentle Cleanser, Panthen Moisturizer, Sunscreen, Hydroquinone + Tretinoin at night (used this w/o prescription for 2 months already every other night but didn't notice any improvement) Now I switched to tret with ery gel for 2 nights and used the salicylic toner on my non tret night

Main Concern: PIH / dark acne marks

Budget: Budget-friendly medication/skincare sana

Now idk if I should continue my routine and see if there will be an provement after weeks or consult a derma as soon as I have a budget for it. Kasi parang nagsasayang nalang ako ng pera on using diff products (late realization).

Planning to try online consultation with a derm (heard it's possible and also cheaper). Or is face to face consultation better? Buttt I'm tight on budget🥲 Any recos?

TYIA!! 🫂

Product Reviews Review: Milcu Sports Deodorant

Post image

Skin Type: Oily and Sweaty
Age/Gender: 25, F
Current Skincare Routine: Antibacterial Soap
Main Concern: Sweaty Armpits
Lifestyle Factors: Chubby girl with daily commute plus sporty
Budget: Less than ₱200
Additional Info:
As a girl na busy sa everyday life, madali talaga pagpawisan yung underarms ko. Naalala ko, 6 years ago, nagpapa-botox pa ako ng underarms ko just to make sure na hindi ako papawisan sa part na yun.

Yung mga deo roll-on didn’t work for me and it left my shirts and blouses with dirt and permanent stain. Eventually, I discovered this Milcu but first, I used the white variant, effective siya pero after 7 hours, medyo sweaty na ako ulit.

HELP: Itchiness right after niacinamide application

Normal lang ba mangati right after applying niacinamide?

I have been using niacinamide once a week for 3 weeks. Goods naman skin reaction ko nung una. Ngayon lang siya nangati nang ganito pero okay and calm naman na siya after some time. Worried lang ako baka mag lead to breakouts if I continue the use. May dapat ba akong i-add before para malessen yung irritation?

May redness due to acne ako sa cheeks, pansin ko doon nagkaroon nh irritation. Is it because of the acne kaya?

Skin type: Combination/Sensitive

Age/Gender: F24

Current Routine:

AM: Cleanser-Vit C-Sunscreen

PM: Cleanser-Vit C (Substitute to Niacinamide once a week)

Apo and Mt. Bulkan). but i stopped pricking them during my senior high school. now that im in my 5th yr in college, i want to (if possible) lessen the pore size or make them a little manageable. i also experience hormonal acne and when i am super stressed, grabe breakouts ko. should i visit a derma po ba or an aesthetician or buy products??

Asking for Recommendations Bacne and Chest Acne

Hi everyone, I’ve had back and chest acne for a few years now. Im 15 F and it makes me insecure most of the time. I was wondering what soaps or routines helped you get rid of this problem. I have sensitive and dry skin which makes it difficult to find good soaps na hiyang sa skin ko. I can only use mild soaps bcs normal ones would usually worsen it. My chest acne doesn’t usually get bad but it does when I near my period. The back acne is my main concern cause it gets to bad that it hurts when I wear garments. Thank you for your time, your response is most appreciated!

Skin Type: sensitive and dry

Age/Gender: 15 F

Current Skincare Routine: Johnsons Baby Bath Liquid Soap

Main Concern: Slight Chest Acne flares, and Back Acne around the upper back near shoulders

Lifestyle Factors: active person who plays sports and lives in cold climate

Asking for Recommendations Help: tips for texture?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Skin Type: Oily & sensitive

Age/Gender: 17/M

Main Concern: evening out my skin, redness on my nose, and pore visibility especially on my nose

Lifestyle Factors: Usually lack of sleep & stress due to school. However I exercise 3x a week and drink water regularly.

Budget: 300-600

Skincare Routine:

AM

-water

-when I stay home, I use my old sunscreen para maubos ko na, and when i go outside I use my new one

-SkinAqua Gold UV Super Moisture Gel Sunscreen (OLD)

-Sun Bears Gold Active Sunscreen (NEW)

PM

-Soul Apothecary Gentle Salicylic Acid Cleanser

-Soul Apothecary Radiance Boost Essence

-SKINTIFIC 5X Ceramides Barrier Moisture Gel

* for the radiance boost essence, I switched from Luxe Organix 10% Niacinamide Serum because from research it told me this percentage can cause issues as its too high, but it didn't do any damage to my skin. I still switched to check other products, but I'm willing to switch back again as I kind of don't like my current product due to personal preference.

Additional Info: I'm not sure yet, but I think I have a history of eczema? A few years ago when I didnt have a dedicated skincare routine, my face would be really dry, itchy, and flaky, so I would end up scratching the side of nose because of this. The spots were it would usually dry and become itchy and flaky were on the sides of my nose, on my eyebrows, and on my scalp.

The current spots in my face right now are recurring pimples if that helps too! Additionally, my skin is fairly sensitive. Fragrants don't work well on my skin.

Lastly, do you guys have any recommendations for texture? Compared to my whole face, the texture on my nose can be really seen especially with oiliness on my skin and I want to somehow lessen how it looks. Thank you!!

Tips/Routines Recurring Acne on Amrs

Post image
14 Upvotes

Please recommend a budget-friendly but trusted body care routine for recurring acne on my forearms

Hi! I’m looking for recommendations for a budget-friendly but effective body care routine for recurring acne on my forearms.

I usually get body acne on my back, but recently I’ve started getting breakouts on my arms as well. The frustrating part is that even when some pimples clear up, new ones keep popping up in the same area.

I’m not sure if this is actually acne or possibly something else like folliculitis, so I’d also appreciate any advice on what it might be and when I should consider seeing a dermatologist.

Skin type: Sensitive + acne-prone
Age/Gender: 25/F
Budget: ₱300–₱1,000
Current body care:

I previously tried Dr. Wong’s Sulfur Soap, but I didn’t notice much improvement and new pimples still kept appearing.
I recently switched to Teashell Soap that I found on TikTok, but it’s still too early to tell if it’s helping.

I’m hoping for recommendations for a simple routine (cleanser/soap, treatment, moisturizer, etc.) that’s gentle enough for sensitive skin and won’t break the bank.

Would really appreciate product recommendations, especially from people who have dealt with recurring body acne themselves. 🥹
Thank you!
