News Now Allowing Sales and Trades
Hey lads, a bit behind with this one. I recently put out a survey to get a feel for everyone's thoughts on allowing sales and trades post on the sub. An overwhelming majority were in favor. So I added some new flares. WTT (want to trade) WTB (want to buy) and SALE (for sale). Let's be respectful and responsible moving forward with this and see how things pan out. Be safe and be confident in any transactions you make and of course reach out if you have any concerns. I'm thinking of seeing how things pan out and if need be, we can make adjustments or place guidelines as needed.

Modpost: looking into why the auto mod is deleting temu links
In the mean time, and because I don't want the temu "ads" to run rampant. Please send temu links privately via PM or "break" the links with a space.

Thank you.
May your aim be true.

I got another one from walmart
So i got another one from walmart, this one was around 20$
I mainly got it for my wife, she busted a knuckle and doest like the slingshots i have. (Hands to close to the y).
Saw this, kin to the classic style every one has, but set up for flat bands.
I wouldnt say this is terrible.....but its a pretty big piece of crap, it is a neat piece of crap tho.
The molded plastic just doesnt feel good.
The handle has an ammo dispenser ( pretty freaking cool).
The bands are okay. No tool needed to change them, well the come pretty tight so you may need something the first time.
This is my third flatband slingshot from walmart and so far this one is the worst. Mainly the not so good molded plastic and weird ergonomics.

Natural Oak Slingshot
Made this one from an oak branch I had laying around after a few years of not making any slingshots. Probably my heaviest slingshot, but definitely the most durable too.

Fork Width Poll
I thought it would be interesting to poll folks on their preferred fork width.
While the community (at least according to some) has been preferring narrower widths in recent years, my experience/trajectory has done the opposite. I have moved from 90mm to 94mm to 95mm and now am locked in pretty well at 102mm. I have found that the 102mm fits both my hand and my eye better and allows for a really consistent anchor. I’m a big guy (84cm draw), maybe that’s part of why it fits better? I enjoy them all, but if I had to pick one I would go with the 102 for sure.
So the question, for fun/science, is if you had to pick a fork width that you just like the best, what would you pick?

New to the hobby & and looking for advice
Grabbed this little thing about 3 weeks ago and have had a blast with it so far. I have had to buy more ammo and have decided I like the 1/2" rounds more than the 3/8" ones.
I am looking for info on where/which new bands to buy because I have ran through most of mine and I am also wondering what peoples preferred ammo sizes/brands are.
Also some suggestions on better slingshot to upgrade to. I think the most I would want to spend on another is like $70-$80.

I stumbled across this sub a few months ago and fell back in love with shooting slingshots for the first time in about 25 years. There is some awesome craftsmanship here! So, naturally, I had to try making one for myself.

Does anyone know what slingshot this is? I bought it years ago from Simple Shot. I can't seem to find it on their website.

Air Pro Clay Slingshot Ammo
Has anyone used this ammo? I picked it up at Walmart today. I picked it up at the store, and thought wow this is a lot heavier than other brands I've shot in the past. I got it home and realized there was a bunch of condensation in the container. I dumped it out into a cookie sheet and pressed my hand on it and they're all sticky. I'm going to stick it in the oven for a while and dry it out. Just wondered if anyone else ran into something odd like this.

I made this olive wood slingshot a few years ago. I'm not an expert and would like to know if it's the right size and what kind of rubber bands to use.

I'm blue dahboodee dahboodah.
Weather has been a bit hit and miss today so once I had a clear moment I grabbed one of the oldest frames in my collection (OG Antelope) and one of the newest (S-Airship 90) and had a little play. 5 shots and switch frames, 5 shots and switch back. Finished up smashing a blue can for a bit of blue on blue violence. Both set up for 9.5mm steel.

The 2nd slingshot I ever owned
Found my old Marksman slingshot from 23 years ago. This is the one that really got me into slingshots as a kid. Recently got back into it and using a Scout LT2 now but finding this brought back some memories.

Thinking of getting a pickle fork slingshot but what are some things I should know?
Anyone here that have experience with pickle fork shots? Do you have any tips or advice for pickle forks? Also how bad does a finger hit hurt? 😂

Est que quelqu’un a un retour sur ce modèle
Qu’est ce que ça vaut dans le temps ? Est ce que c’est solide ? Est ce que c’est aussi cool que ça en a l’air ?

Ohhhhh Neat!
Pure stainless steel fun! I must be rustless too! More practice for me!
