CP Cold Process Kitchen soap experiment 🧼

I made these hybrid soaps to test three different coconut oil ratios:

80%, 85%, and 90% coconut oil, from left to right.

I kept the same metal-chelating ingredient in all three to see how they perform.

I’m curious to see how they compare! If anyone’s interested, I’ll share the results after testing. 😊

Are you also experimenting with the superfat levels? Coconut oil is very drying but does make an incredible bar of soap. The higher the coconut oil, the higher you may want the superfat ratio.

Since its a kitchen soap they probably are keeping the superfat low.

I actually experimented with superfat levels up to 4% in my kitchen soaps when I first started making soap. They were fine for hand-washing dishes, but I felt the cleaning power was a little lacking. So since then, I’ve been making my kitchen and laundry soaps with 0% superfat. These bars are also 0% superfat. 😊

I read this wrong, I thought this was body soap. I make 100% coconut oil dish soap. 0% superfat. It’s amazing
