waiting for op Indexer not working

I have imported my library. Sonar can connect to my downloading application. It sees files that are missing from my library. It's not then going out and grabbing those episodes. I'm not sure what I'm missing.

external app (ai coded) Dashboarr 1.17.0: free *arr app for Android/iOS, now with 26 services and six new ones

Dashboarr 1.17.0 is out, and this one is mostly about new integrations: Deluge, Bindery, Navidrome, NZBHydra2, Autobrr and Cleanuparr.

Quick context for anyone who hasn't run into it before. Dashboarr is a mobile app for managing a self hosted media stack from your phone, Android and iOS. It's free and GPL-3.0, no account, no ads, no premium tier, nothing to unlock later. The app talks straight to your own services over their APIs, so nothing routes through a server of mine. It's heavily inspired by nzb360.

What's new in 1.17.0

Six new services:

  • Deluge. That makes four torrent clients now, alongside qBittorrent, rTorrent and Transmission. Queue, files, trackers, labels, global speed limits. If you run the optional backend it'll also push you a notification when a torrent finishes.
  • Bindery for books and audiobooks. The Readarr successor, rewritten in Go. Library, search and add authors, monitoring, queue, wanted.
  • Navidrome for music. Library stats, now playing, quick and full rescan, delete missing files, playlists, search.
  • NZBHydra2. Meta search across your indexers, send an NZB straight to SAB or NZBGet, indexer health with API hit limits, search and download history.
  • Autobrr. Push stats, release feed with retry, filter toggles, IRC network health and restart.
  • Cleanuparr. Strike, removal and cleanup stats, scheduled jobs you can run on demand, client health, event feed.

The other big change is that service setup finally got its own section instead of being one long list buried in Settings. There's a hub showing what needs attention and what you already run, and a searchable catalog for adding something new. Two things that had been bugging me got fixed on the way: a service that's unreachable only because you're on mobile data now reads as "away" instead of pretending to be broken, and if you run two of the same service, a broken second one no longer hides behind a healthy first one.

Smaller stuff:

  • HTTP Digest auth (RFC 7616) for rTorrent, NZBGet, Glances and Transmission, so a Digest protected reverse proxy works now
  • The Still Pending dashboard widget can filter movies by cinema, digital or physical release date
  • A private remote URL is no longer blocked while a VPN is up
  • Test Connection and the health dots in settings now agree with each other
  • Torrent detail screens stay pinned to the instance they came from when you run more than one client
  • Backend pairing works behind a private CA

What the app actually does

26 services, grouped the way the app groups them:

  • Download clients: qBittorrent, rTorrent/ruTorrent, Transmission, Deluge, SABnzbd, NZBGet
  • Media automation: Radarr, Sonarr, Lidarr, Bindery, Bazarr
  • Indexers: Prowlarr, Jackett, NZBHydra2
  • Media servers: Plex, Jellyfin, Emby, Navidrome
  • Requests and automation: Seerr (Overseerr and Jellyseerr), Autobrr, Cleanuparr
  • Monitoring: Tautulli, Tracearr, JellyStat, Glances, unRAID

It isn't just status screens. You can pause, resume and delete downloads, search and add movies, shows, books and music, approve or decline requests, grab a release from an indexer search, toggle indexers, hunt for missing subtitles, start and stop Docker containers on unRAID, and see what's currently streaming.

A few things worth calling out:

  • A unified dashboard with 31 widgets you can reorder and configure, and multiple dashboards if you want one per server or one per household
  • Multi instance support. Two qBittorrents, a 4K Radarr and a 1080p Radarr, whatever you run. You switch inside the tab and the dashboard aggregates them
  • Local and remote URL per service, with automatic switching based on your home WiFi. When you're away it will never fall back to the LAN URL, on purpose, so you're not spraying an API key at whatever network you happen to be on
  • API keys live in the device's secure storage, not in a plain text config
  • Wake on LAN, so you can wake the server before asking it for anything
  • Config export and import behind biometric auth, so a new phone isn't an hour of retyping URLs
  • A UI scale setting (1.0 / 1.15 / 1.3), because the default really is too small for some people
  • Dark mode only. Sorry.

Push notifications

The app itself needs no server. If you want real push notifications (download finished, request approved, that sort of thing) there's an optional companion backend you self host, Node or Docker, and pair with a QR code. Skip it and nothing else stops working.

What it isn't

No accounts, no cloud sync, no telemetry, no analytics. Single user per install, since the whole architecture is just your phone talking to your servers. There's no paid tier planned and no pro version sitting behind a paywall.

Links

If you try it and something breaks, or a service you use is missing, open an issue. Most of the integrations in this release exist because someone asked for them.

P.S: The IOS version is still submitted, will take a day or two until Apple approves it!

discussion Trakt link

It’s been weeks now that the link for Trakt, when viewing a series, has stopped working. Pretty sure it’s because Trakt switched to their v3 stuff. Anyone know if this is even being looked at, cause it sucks having to manually search for said show on Trakt.

discussion Sonarr does not find part of a series (newcomer). What do you do ?

I am trying to fetch (in French, it's for the kids) a well known anime dating from the 1980s telling the story of a karate kid with a monkey tail ;)

It's split in sonarr across 6 seasons. I have all first 3. The other 3 I can't find. I am wondering : what are your ideas to find it? I use torrent & various usenet indexer subscriptions. Apparently I still can't find it.

What are my other possibilities?

unsolved Sonarr is creating extra episodes

Today episode 18 aired and Sonarr is telling me another episode was due the exact same title 1 hour later and called it episode 21.

Tomorrow episode 19 is due to be aired and Sonarr is telling me that another episode with the exact same title is also due tomorrow and is calling it episode 22.

The following day episode 20 is due and Sonarr says another episode with the exact same title is due on the same day and calling it episode 23.

None of this is true as there's only episodes 18, 19 and 20.

Why is Sonarr doing this?

I could of course 'Unmonitor' the bogus episodes but what will that do for the remainder of the episodes of the series? Will they be correct or not?

solved Any tips on how to organize season 21 of Doctor Who (1963)?

Basically 2 extra parts were added to Resurrection of the Daleks in the DVD release, these episodes are not on Sonarr's list. I tried manually matching the episodes to the files but the 2 finale episodes won't show up in the editor. I also checked the specials but they weren't listed there either. Anyone have anyway to include them without messing up sonarr?

unsolved I know how to tell Sonarr to look for the x265 encodes of my shows. How do I tell it to grab the smaller file sizes?

i have a quality profile setup to tell Sonarr to grab anything encoded in x265 (i am sure that is not the correct terminology) but is there a way to tell it to grab the 700mb file as opposed to the 1.0gb (as an example) version? right now i am doing an interactive search but that can be a bit tedious. and with hard drive prices right now, i am trying to keep things reasonable.

waiting for op OnePiece vs Plex vs Sonarr.

unsolved Sonarr not moving some files to media folder

I have my folder structure set up via TRaSH guides.

I noticed recently some shows are getting downloaded and stuck in the "usenet/complete" folder and won't be moved to the "media" folder.

I've noticed all of these files are .MKV files but I don't think that has anything to do with it since I have files in the media folder with .MKV file types.

Like I said, some files will move fine, but others don't.

File Structure:

    /mnt/user/TRaSH Data

      | media
          | movies
          | music
          | tv

      | torrents
          | movies
          | music
          | tv

      | usenet
          | complete
              | movies
              | music
              | tv
          | incomplete

Sonarr config and container settings

SABnzbd config and container settings

Screen shot of /mnt/user/TRaSH Data/usenet/complete/tv folder

I have Radarr set up with the same set up as these settings and those files all move fine.

I posted yesterday on r/Lidarr with the same issue but for the Lidarr download I have.

Thanks in advance!

Edit: Fixed formatting

discussion Better way to manually import media

Hey guys.

After a few weeks after installing Sonarr I noticed that I have 600+ itens in my queue. Files are been downloaded and imported manually and all itens that remained in the queue have a reason to be there.

I just wanted to know if there's a way to better manage the queue, something like with a better visualization or better messages...

If not, that's ok. I'm just curious.

solved Script for notifying when Sonarr Series has completed a season

Hey folks, I've been looking for a lightweight way of receiving notifications when the last episode of a season has been downloaded. This is especially useful for when there's lots of anime with episodes that aren't available yet. Using what I gathered from the Sonarr database and with the help of my dear friend Mr. Chatty Jeepetea I wrote a simple script that can be run once a day. It will create a list of episodes that don't have a file, then on the next run compare all episodes that've gotten a file since then and send out a discord notification for each completed series+season combination. This is a first draft so there might be stuff I'm overlooking, but as of now it's working. This is a simple bash script, so no need for additional software. Maybe there's an easier way for this that I don't know of yet?

Since Reddit automatically deletes this post when I paste in the code block I moved it to pastebin instead:

unsolved Failed to import

Hello everyone.

I've been for about 3-4 weeks using my Arr stack, quite a lot of configuration but it was all working definetely fine. This past two days I'm having a problem.

When I select a series and request it, both automatic search and interactive search make the issue happen, it just imports some of the episodes, not all of them. It happens also both from Seerr and Sonarr, my download manager is Decypharr which is well configurated (from what I've been seeing, and it is working no problem at all with Radarr), it creates symlinks so I don't have to have huge amounts of disk storage.

The problem is that when I access the Decypharr mount, where Sonarr go to take the symlink and access it through Jellyfin, the symlink is correctly played through for example VLC Player in Windows, but Sonarr isn't even able to import it.

I've tried doing it from Interactive import in the Wanted tab, selecting the folder in the mount of Decypharr, and selecting exactly the episodes it's missing, and it just doesn't import a well functioning episode.

I don't even know what else to try

discussion Two instances for both dub and sub anime or just one?

Hey y'all

Alright so anime is my main source of media intake nowadays.

I mainly like sub anime, while my fiance will only really watch dub anime.

If it was up fully to me I would just have the Japanese Blu-ray releases to be my preferred choice, I love having and viewing the uncensored unedited anime (with subtitles of course). As there is already a history of anime being edited a bit once it has English dub release.

For that reason I'm unsure about how I feel about duel audio releases where it has one video file but two different audio languages.

To that end I was thinking of having two instances of Sonarr just for anime, one for Japanese releases and one just for English releases.

However I'm also thinking about how sometimes it might be a hassle having to add an anime twice just to get both languages.

I feel like overall audio quality would also go down a bit with duel audio files which makes me feel unsure about them.

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

discussion Babel v2.5 beta is out — automatic subtitle fallback for Sonarr + Bazarr

I’ve been building Babel, a self-hosted subtitle automation service designed to work alongside Sonarr, Radarr and Bazarr.

The goal is connect and forget.

Once configured, Babel sits in the background and only steps in when your normal subtitle workflow can’t find what you need.

The basic flow is:

Sonarr imports an episode → Bazarr searches for the target subtitle → Babel uses AI only if that search fails.

In Hybrid Mode, Bazarr searches for a proper human-made subtitle while Babel prepares a usable embedded or external source subtitle in parallel.

If Bazarr finds the target subtitle, Babel uses it and no AI translation happens.

If it doesn’t, Babel can translate the prepared source, recover problematic cues, validate the result and only publish it once it passes QA.

AI is the fallback, not the default workflow.

What’s new in v2.5

  • OpenRouter support
  • DeepSeek support
  • Plex library refresh support
  • Reworked AI provider and model handling
  • Improved source subtitle selection and preparation
  • Better translation recovery
  • Improved QA and validation
  • Better AI usage and queue tracking

Supported providers

Gemini, OpenAI, DeepL, Ollama, OpenRouter and DeepSeek.

Other features

  • Sonarr and Radarr webhook automation
  • Bazarr integration
  • Embedded subtitle extraction with ffmpeg and mkvextract
  • External subtitle fallback
  • Exact timestamp preservation
  • Detection of dropped or broken cues
  • Wrong-language and untranslated-dialogue checks
  • Automatic recovery before publishing
  • Atomic subtitle publishing
  • Remote Path Mapping
  • Jellyfin and Plex library refresh
  • Docker deployment

The idea is that you should be able to connect Babel to the services you already use, configure it once, and then leave it running in the background.

GitHub: https://github.com/hugomossberg/Babel

Docker: ghcr.io/hugomossberg/babel:beta

Current release: v2.5.0-beta

It’s still in public beta, so feedback from people running it against real Sonarr libraries is very useful.

If you hit problems with embedded tracks, source selection, missing languages, broken subtitles or the fallback logic itself, feel free to open an issue.

waiting for op Weird import failed error (Windows 11)

Hi, i have just switched from Sickchill to Sonarr. Everything works fine.

But there is something that caught my attention in the logs.

The well known : "Import failed, path does not exist or is not accessible by Sonarr".

(yes i read most of those posts, but cant' find my problem in them).

Sonar IS downloading and processing files and i see them show up in Library and in Plex. But i still get the messages in the log, about files that have ALREADY been processed. So yeah those files don't exist.

If i move the files that are shown as not imported (however they ARE in the directory, renamed and well) to the completed directory i can import them. Yet they still show up as not imported, with the filename that has never been downloaded in the warning.

I have all the rights to the directory. (SabNZBd is on same pc and uses same path to the files)

Also between those log entries see files with NORDIC and FRENCH in the name, which should be ruled out. (also those are not showing up in SAB log, so they have never even been in the completed folder, because they have never geen downloaded).

Is there a way to stop those "ghost" files from showing up in the logs? It's getting really cluttered.

unsolved Random seasons unmonitored?

I'm currently going through my entire library to upgrade to 265 where possible, and I've noticed seemingly random seasons from random shows being unmonitored. And some entire shows, for that matter. Any idea why it's happened? It's definitely not something I did manually - one show had seasons 1, 2, 3 and 5 unmonitored, but 4 was still normal. Ultimately not that big a deal as I'm just fixing it as I go, but I'd like to know what caused it if possible since it'll prevent those seasons being automatically managed and upgraded if available.

unsolved 1337x temporaily blocking me due to requests

In my endevears to get my server automates Ive ran into another issue. I have many missing episodes and when I use the wanted tab 1337x gets overwhelmed with responses and blocks me. I still want to use the wanted to automatically fill up my library as eztv and nyaa dont get blocked, is there anyway to tell sonarr to hold its horses and slow down its requests to specfic sites. Sorry in advanced if this is a common question, the only thing ive been able to find out about this is for rss searches which doesnt seem like itll fix my issue with the wanted tab. Keep in mind i have like 3000 missing episodes, partially due to the fact that sonarr doesnt always pick up season files. It was 8000 until i purged some ridiculous series that I dont care all that much about.

I know i can change my vpn location to fix it, and the Blocks dont last that long, but Im looking to stop the problem

discussion The TVDB is very often wrong and I'm sick of dealing with it.

Why does Sonarr insist on using this crappy source that disagrees with everything else?

In particular it loves putting things in "specials" that really shouldn't be. Two recent examples are the Twin Peaks pilot being considered a special instead of S01E01, which makes no sense. Spongebob S03E54 being considered a special also, I mean just why?! Every single other person agrees this is an episode in season 3. It's really frustrating having to juggle stuff around or have to remember "oh now I need to watch this episode which is under the wrong name because Jellyfin doesn't agree with TVDB's insanity". I feel it would be so much easier if it just used TMDB like Jellyfin, which has been the sane one in every case I've come across.

Sorry it's a bit of a rant, I'm frustrated with it.

unsolved Health check after recent update

My installation recently updated to 4.0.19.3006. Now I have this persistent health message :

Allowed Hosts is not configured, Sonarr will accept requests for any hostname. Set Allowed Hosts in General settings to restrict which hostnames can be used to reach Sonarr.

I am ok with this not being set, but the message remains and I get notified every few hours. The field in question doesn’t seem to accept IP ranges so I really don’t need it to be configured.

How can I fix or have it ignore this new message?
