I knew the jury wouldn’t buy it

I don’t think Tony was ever really looking for happiness.
He wanted it, obviously. The money, the family, the respect, the women, the food, all of it.
But whenever he actually got close to something good, he somehow found a way to destroy it.
And the weirdest part is that I don’t think he was completely unaware of it.
He knew what he was doing. He knew he was becoming worse. He knew the people around him were getting hurt. He just kept choosing the thing that made him feel powerful in the moment.
That’s what makes Tony so much more interesting to me than a simple “bad guy with a family.”
He could recognize his own problems perfectly when talking about someone else… then immediately do the exact same thing himself.
Maybe the therapy never failed Tony.
Maybe Tony failed therapy because deep down, he didn’t actually want to become a different person.
He just wanted to feel better about being the person he already was.
And honestly, that might be the most depressing thing about the entire show.

Can we get some love for the outstanding pinky ring game this show had?

Will Jason have the makings of a varsity athlete? Can I turn myself into a house late game and hurl obscenities at passers-by? What will Jason have to do to get a little smoked turkey? What atrocities will he commit? Will there be an interior decorator, and will his house look like shit? All these possibilities… Will Jason get addicted to H and pass out with his hair in the toilet water? (Disgusting) Just imagine that: a druggie mechanic where we have to fill up a withdrawal meter and stop ourselves sitting on little Cosette.
