Roommates

I’ve received my room number for my shared dorm. How do I figure out who my roommate is? They aren’t providing the info. Do I just find out once I move in?

you could try find your halls group chat and reach out on there?

You find out when you move in. Don't know why everyone needs to know beforehand and they're not just going to hand out everyones details.

I’m a U.S. student and American schools do give you your roommates email address at bare minimum so that you can figure out who’s bringing what to the dorm. I just like the idea of potentially getting to know them somewhat before I am sleeping in the same room as them. But it’s fine if that’s not possible. Just thought I’d ask.

Nope! The university can not provide information on your roommates due to GDPR data protections. The Hall Group Chats are a great way to find out, but most folk meet on the day of move-in.
