Hi everyone. I am trying to put together my first cosplay, a sith character. And I really want to get some colored contact lenses so I can do the red/yellow eyes. But I actually wear contact lenses and glasses in real life; terrible distance vision. Is there anywhere that makes prescription costume contacts like that?

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction to help with how to secure my obi (sash). Internet searches seem to produce results for making the sash, not how to secure it or wear it properly. When I try to wear mine, I have to fold it under itself and it seems kinda lumpy under the leather belt. Any videos, links, resources would be helpful. TIA

I started with a basic costume and made my own fiberglass pieces last year for my first-ever try at this. I used some
Body filler to give it texture and actually ran it through some mud to give it some earthy texture. I attached the armor with Chicago screws/rivets but I’m just not happy with how bowed out the armor is. I need to finish making some pieces and upgrading others. I feel like I’m working too hard trying to do this with fiberglass. Is there an easier way I should be making armor? Thanks!

I'm looking to purchase parts or whole of an Original Trilogy X-Wing Pilot Costume for Halloween. My budget is $300 but I would prefer to be at or under $250 I'm currently looking on eBay and other secondhand sites for a Black Series helmet, but I'm unsure where to go for the rest. Every seller varies wildly in pricing and many have either no or clearly faked/bot reviews. With time and budget restraints, I'm willing to go kind of cheap, but I would love something sturdy and breathable for the flight suit at least. Halloweens are quite warm where I live.

While the new one is cool on its own, the proportions are way out of wack and it just looks strange. Its too boxy and sits way too low on the neck for my liking. The more I look at it, the more I hate it. Even though the bottom of the helmet sits higher on the neck on the old helmet, its a inaccuracy Im willing to take for better visibility, cooling, and more accuracy everywhere else on the helmet.

I’m currently in the midst of making a grand admiral thrawn cosplay, I have all the costume either being made or already done, but I can’t find any good body paints that would give me the right shade of blue, if anyone has any help or any advice to offer it would be greatly appreciated 😊

Some context, I have been working on a OC sith costume for a couple years now. I have mostly ordered clothes and a few things from Amazon and Etsy. I have gotten most of the costume but I am now trying to make my lower body not be plain black pants.

Now for the main portion, I was looking on etsy, and I found shin guard/armor, thigh armor, pauldron(only one side), knee guards, and boot armor. But those have become very pricey, so I began researching into making my own with foam, ive tried before but gave up because I just couldnt figure it out. I am now wanting and willing to try again but where i live, I have found VERY few stores that sell that kind of foam. I have found gym floor mats at a local store and using it for padding on my already acquired costume pieces. I am starting to feel like I dove into the deep end of this hobby and need help just figuring it all out.

What i amasking for: Any advice, tips, or knowledge on resources and where i could get them pretty quickly rather than ordering from Amazon or Etsy would be hugely appreciated. I am currently living in Hohenfels, Germany so if anyone knows places nearby here that i couldnt find, please reach out.

I’ve got one daughter who loves Boba Fett, easy to get some cheap kid’s costume pieces for her so she can live out her dream. The other thinks Fennec Shand is the coolest ever. Not so easy to find premade, and kids sized. I’m fairly advanced with my sewing and crafting skills, so I thought I could find some patterns and create something myself, but I really haven’t found anything. I’ve searched pretty hard, but no luck. If anyone can point me in the right direction, or has any ideas on how to assemble a nice, playable Fennec Shand costume for a 9 year old, I could use the help! Video of lil Boba just cause :)
