Is this apart of the new update? I originally declined having the open world stories update and wanted to keep it in My World. Did the new update automatically make it public for everyone? Is there a way to change it?

Since it seems we are getting stories for all worlds, I have three things I would like to suggest.

1. Pictures/videos posted instead of text. What's the point of stories if it's not a picture or video? It seems redundant to the feed.
2. Energy change. If it is going to be text only, can we at least get the energy changed? Can it be 3 actions = 1 energy per story, something similar to how DMs work?
3. It would be really cool if we could interact with characters that aren't in our worlds but are related to our worlds (like characters that we had and removed or just related characters that we can choose to have that are on our list of who to add). This way we could build a relationship or reputation further and deeper into game play. It would be allowing "grapevine" relationships. I don't mean multiplayer. I mean we could shortlist characters that are involved in our world but not part of it and they can gain or have negatives of our relationships before they're even in our world.

I didn't mind private stories. But now that I don't have the option to hide public stories by random (possibly under age) users for characters i haven't even added in my world I think I'm just not going to play.

Even though I specifically tapped the "maybe later" option, I still got thrown into it too.

It's a huge privacy concern (for me anyways) and the blantant disregard for users requests for me. From what I've seen, users were asking for the exact opposite and to have the option to not participate.

It doesn't feel right.

There's also a point to be made that I'm an adult and some minors are probably posting some of these stories. Idk.. just feels like the minors using this app shouldn't be thrown into Roleplay with adults and vice versa. The app is rated for everyone on the app store and doesn't require any age verification.

The non optional public stories seems like a really slippery slope in that aspect and seems like a huge safety concern and quick ticket to getting removed from appstore and playstore.

I just don't see any silver lining to this updated feature and can't wrap my head around why the decision was made...

Sucks because I love this app and have spent money on it.

Is there going to be an update that allows us to not take part in this? Is there any idea when that will be? I'd like to come back to playing when this is fixed.

okay this is what I noticed with the recent ads bug.

the bug have been sticking to me since yesterday and I get energies every 24 hour now because the ads energy is only used every other time or not at all because it "varies on the region".

today however, I got to used the ad energy using mobile data and because I went out (yk like outside my house) and didnt get a single "varies on region" notice. I thought the region thing was like different country type of varies but I guess its provinces? or is it because I used mobile data instead of my home internet(because when I got home, the ads stopped and I got the notif again TT

No, I didn't use any gems to buy the energy. ALL of this came from watching ads !! I spent 3 hours watching them, and THERE ARE STILL ADS AVAILABLE as I'm typing this. Did we get unlimited ads or what ?

I usually get 20-24 rewards watching ads before it tells me that there is no more ads then I have to wait till next day to get another 20-24. Today I just started watching ads and was confused on why it was talking so long for me to get the pop up of no ads left. I started at 96 bonus actions, I can still watch ads even now. Has anyone experienced this? I am not complaining at all.

Three months and I only just realized I can make a cross over happen so I’m going FULL OUT.

In two different worlds, my proactive characters don’t reply to me or interact with me on my timeline. It’s really annoying and I don’t know how to fix it

I was just wondering if we could get an update on the bug. Even if it just is an update from you guys saying you are currently working on fixing it. Just was getting a bit worried and wanted to see if we could get a little bit of communication of what is currently going on behind the scenes please.

One of the characters in my world has been typing for over two hours now, I tried making events, replying to comments, but he still won't finish typing.

Would be nice if we all got some free bonus energy cause of this bug hahah

Just wondering when will the ads be available? Still saying that no ads available on my region even if I used vpn.

Update: Looks like the Android update was actually the problem.

I updated my Pixel 6 to Android 17 QPR1 Beta 9, and Status is working normally again. The compatibility warning is gone and I can finally use the app without being held hostage by the update screen

Guys i just checked and ads are working again!

please someone tell me this is just a bug cause i play only from ads. I do pay from time to time to get more diamonds but I play mostly just out of ads. I was able to watch only 5 ads today then it told me availability varies by my region.
