Support Question Issues Connecting

Is anyone else having this issue?

The Stoat app is a black screen, even after pressing ctrl + r. When I right click, it gives me the toggle spellcheck button.

The stoat.chat webpage gives the following error.

This site can’t be reached

stoat.chat refused to connect.

I can ping stoat.chat.

All the is it down websites say that stoat.chat is up.

Statusgator has several user reports, from all across the world.

The service is up and running smoothly. It seems we've been suddenly and incorrectly blocked by some internet service providers for whatever reason. If you're on mobile data, try switching to Wi-Fi. If you're on Wi-Fi, try switching to mobile data.

We're working on trying to get this sorted, but they generally don't have a repeals process. Trying from different devices while avoiding any network filters you might have configured is the best option for now. A VPN may also bypass the block.

Had this issue for a week on multiple machines; ISP says it's not blocked. Changed DNS (Cloudflare 1.1.1.1) in Chrome, and that allows the site to be accessed; Windows seems to ignore manual DNS. Using Cloudflare Warp seems to allow the app to connect with its settings, but causes issues with other apps.

[edit] I fixed it on my end when I realised that my pings were being stopped at the router. Managed to go in and find whitelisting (Eero router, advanced networking; might need EeroPlus from ISP) and added 'stoat.chat' to the allow list for the network.
