Retrospective guilt

Feeling horrible about what I put my ex boyfriend through with my drinking. I wish I could reach out and apologize for it, but he was a bit of an enabler and wasn’t the best in the end anyway. I don’t know. Sad today.

I get it, although for entirely different reasons. My retrospective guilt story isn't alcohol-related, so I don't know if it's appropriate to share in this sub. But there's a very important apology I'll never be able to make, and it will haunt me for the rest of my life. I get it.

Sometimes, self-forgiveness is the best we'll ever get. I haven't quite figured out how it works, but I'm pretty sure it's the correct answer.

I think you’re definitely correct in that. Here’s to trying! <3

We’re in this together sister. Alcohol tears down everything and we’re going to succeed. IWNDWYT
