First strawberry!
But it was so sour and a little sweet 😔
I will wait day or two more for the other strawberrys

It’s always a function between pushing it to the limit and risk having pests take a bite

My first ever strawberry was sacrificed to the garden demons. They are still beasting. Congrats.Â

Congratulations on your first berry!
I find you want to make sure they are completely red all the way through before you pick them. Then on some varieties - you wait a couple more days too! (Looks at Seascape). Strawberries do not ripen more after being picked.
This one still has a white band at the top. Hopefully you will get many more berries and find the pircket time to pick them. (Some will get a bit soft too.)
