Stopped into a local card/game shop looking for pokemon cards for my collection, and my husband spotted this in one of the plushie bins. Feels like an insane find. Ive never been able to get any subnautica merch before so this felt like fate. Need a name for this guy now hehe
A hotfix for Subnautica 2 just landed. We’ve corrected some localization issues, improved lower canyon Collector Leviathan pathing, and fixed a few bugs related to saves, bases, and more.
We continue to monitor community feedback, so please keep reporting any bugs or issues via in-game feedback or on our support site.
The full list of changes in today’s hotfix is below.
Corrected localization issue where some PDA and Databank descriptions were not displaying with translations.
Corrected new Pioneer names (Jegna and Grace) not being displayed with translations.
Fixed items stored on wall racks not being properly refunded when using "Refund Base."
Fixed exterior furniture not being movable when playing as a client in multiplayer.
Cleaned up leftover data from the base item spawn system to reduce save bloat.
Fixed base construction ghost data lingering in saves after builds were completed.
Fixed the base power transmitter beam appearing offset and flickering oddly, added subtle randomization to its flicker VFX for a more natural look.
Players can no longer be released from an aggressive creature's grip via certain exploits.
Improved pathing for the Collector Leviathan in the lower canyon areas, and tightened its collision detection.
Increased tracker detection radius.
Water Slug breath markers now correctly appear only when the Slug is a physical object in the world, not while it's in the player's inventory.
Fixed currents affecting players while sheltered inside bases.
Fixed a collision issue that blocked interaction with the Scout Ray chassis carry point.
Players attached to a Tadpole or Haul now reliably receive oxygen replenishment.
Blocked inventory sharing while riding in a Tadpole.
Fixed the inventory share popup not dismissing after driving away from another player.
Fixed an issue where dying while inventory sharing could cause problems.
Save files now track build number and branch, preventing incompatible saves from being loaded into older builds.
Fixed save/version compatibility tooltip not displaying correctly.
Added improved error logging for save failures ("Platform write failed for save slot").
Removed outdated save compatibility file no longer needed on any platform.
Fixed a softlock that could occur on the character select screen.
Fixed alignment guidelines appearing skewed for distant objects.
Enabled the analytics settings toggle and removed conditions that could incorrectly disable it.
Fixed an issue with the "Moonpool shrink mode" not properly checking for collisions.
Added new subtitle/text string for the Air Bladder inhale action.
Fixed push-to-talk input issue for Proximity Chat.
Various engine and crash reporting refactors for more reliable diagnostics.
General compile and build stability fixes.
A reminder: If you play Subnautica 2 with mods, please temporarily disable, remove, or uninstall them before launching the game following the hotfix. Community mods will not be updated for compatibility with the latest hotfix, and may cause crashes or other unexpected behavior on launch. Once the mod creators have updated their content, you can re-enable and reinstall your mods.
This hotfix may take some time to roll out worldwide.
I’ve been trying to build a base for a day or two, but now I’m reconsidering where I want it. (I don’t know if the base reinforcement support platform thingamwahsits make it look ugly or not)
I’ve been looking all around and I can’t find a location I like. Is there anywhere in the game where there’s relatively flat land, yet still relatively close to the surface so I can make some overwater solar panels?
My base is slowly growing even if still in the safe shallow, and something else is going to be built..! Even if I don't really know what I'm doing 19 hrs in (just got lifepod 4 comms, that I already found before that ) I'm enjoying it (weirdly since I normally don't like build base games). Next one will prolly be the last degasi base even if it scares me going that deep, and maybe trying to build cyclops, even if I don't really know where I could build it since I know it's kinda big.
Any recommendations? Also, it's ok to leave the base here atm? I was scared of not having resources, but it was kinda a joke to get those material for the suit, so I think will not be an issue if I relocate (even if I kinda like to return here every time)
Sorry for the WOT, just having fun with my first pt
We didn't play Subnautica 2 for a while, wanted to try the buddy system update. My friend had to upgrade the save file. But my character is very big? I am not the host. I am joining my friends session. Is there a workaround for this bug?
Following my first hardcore death last week, I started a new hardcore game, and managed to lift off after 13h23m.
Last time I was killed by the &¤#!&!# Sea Dragon, but this time I was better prepared with more decoys.
I managed with only one trip in the Seamoth down to the River to get some quick nickel and sulphur, and then a single trip in the Cyclops with the Prawn to get all my kyanite, the lava fortress, and through the primary containment facility. I also remembered to bring/mine enough ion cubes for keys and portals. 😁
50 grow beds, 300 plants, 2,400 seed clusters, 14,400 individual seeds. I would add more but I can’t, I’m going to crash my PS5. Also now everything looks blue…
I might probably relocate in the future, especially since I accidentally lured a reaper next to it and I now can't go more than 200 meters away without it chasing me
OH... juego equivocado...
Ya terminé el breathedge, y acaba de salir el 2, pero estoy pensando volver al agua, recomiendan el subnautica 2? ¿aun en acceso anticipado o es mejor esperar un poco mas las actualizaciones?
